Decent product, be prepared for installation.
The rod does indeed add a good amount of elbow room to your shower. I was actually surprised and the extra room exceed my expectations. The fact the rod is adjustable and pivots at the mounting bracket made the rod my top choice in the price range. However, the installation may require some patience and the hardware included may have been incomplete if I where mounting the rod on studs.Mounting on dry wall you will need a 5/16 drill bit, per the instructions. This is the safest installation.Mounting on tile, you will need a 5/16 MASONRY drill bit (in order to cut through tile). This is how I installed the rod and had to order masonry drill bits from amazon for $20. There were cheaper ones, but I figured I might as well go for a good reviewed item as to not delay the installation even further. I would start will smaller bits and work up to 5/16 to avoid cracking the tile. Also, the rod includes paper templates that tape to the wall to guide your drilling. Since the tile under the paper template is slippery, the drill may slip on you. I put clear tape over the template hole marks to help keep the drill tip in place.Mounting on a stud.... ??? The directions are not clear at all what to do here. The hardware included just had wall anchors, which I assume don't work in studs. I guess you will need to find the appropriate screws on your own. Also, I used an electric drill for the screws/wall-anchor. This was a mistake because the wall-anchors are cheap and the treads got worn out easily. Finally, note that since the rod extends away from your tub, the liner will need a little extra slack to compensate. The further you mount the rod, the more slack you will need. Keep that in mind before installing.

Better to be safe than sorry
I put this up by myself in about 45 minutes. I took my time and premeasured about four times before I drilled the four holes. I had to go to the hardware store to purchase 4 more molly screws only because I have 5/8 " drywall. The molly screws that came with the package is for 1/2 " drywall. NOTE : Make sure you measure from the floor up to the rod before you drill the holes so that if you use a 72 " shower curtain, it doesn't drag the floor when installed ! I didn't do this because I thought I had plenty of height. Lucky for me I just cleared the floor ! Another NOTE : Do not use a drill to tighten the molly screws. You may over tighten and strip out the screw. Use a hand screw driver. It will seem forever before it tightens up. But it will eventually. Better to be safe than sorry. I do like the curved rod. Make sure the two little slots in the cover plate is up and down as you install them. Other wise it won't go on.

Hight quality looking and very sturdy. Moen is a top shelf product.
I never found a better looking, quality shower rod in many years. But I returned it! Why? We bought the Moen dual rod shower curtain instead. This rod is so quality made and looking compared to your big box cheap metal straight rods. While not heavy, it exudes a heaviness of quality and permanence like a nice shower rod in a five star hotel. I wanted to keep it but she wanted the double rod so back it went. When sizing it up by holding it to the wall, it showed dramatically how much more elbow room we'll have once mounted (the double rod) yet it hardly intruded into our small bathroom.Moen makes real quality looking stuff. I'm glad I did my homework and switched to Moen for our bathroom, the quality is excellent.Recommended.

Nice finish, very strong once installed, way better than a tension bar
We installed this in a downstairs bathroom and it was a breeze. Figured out where my holes would go, used sheet rock anchors and then screwed into those. It is very strong once installed and I'm sure will last for as long as I live in the house. The finish is nice and looks expensive even though the unit is reasonably priced. Only downside is the cover caps could fit a little more snug over the mounting pieces but that's just me being picky.i will never use a tension bar again that can fall down, these permanent bars are fantastic.

Enlarge your shower without any demo!
By now everyone probably knows that a curved shower bar will make you feel like you've almost doubled the size of your tub shower area. This one is no different. The installation is a bit tricky, especially sliding on the end pieces. They kind of pivot into place, but it took me a good five or six tries to get it flush to the wall. Also, the telescoping section leaves a bit of a step up for the curtain hooks to travel over, so you need to sort of flick the curtain up when you get to that section. So, it does its job of enlarging the shower, and its made of solid materials, but it takes a bit of work to set it up.Four stars.

Great product @ a great price!
This is one of the best upgrades I've done to my house. I had one of those shower rods that wedges between the wall by rotating one end to make it fit snug... only problem was that it was always falling down. I purchased this product because it actually attaches to the wall. The added benefit that it adds additional elbow room was just a bonus. The install couldn't have been any easier. Drill 3 holes in both walls (6 holes total - made simple by the included template). install the wall plugs then mount the end brackets. With the help of my 8 year old, I had this thing installed in less than 5 minutes. I highly recommend this product! I also highly recommend this seller. The price was right and shipping was super fast.

Love how this looks!
Decided to add this to guest bath during remodel to finish off the look and very pleased with how it looks. It took our contractor about 30 minutes to install and he didn't have any difficulty. One thing we didn't consider is that the left cabinet door above commode hits it when opened. Something to think about if you are installing this in a small space.

so good. It's long enough to span our shower area
So far , so good. It's long enough to span our shower area, and it makes the inside tub area lots roomier to be in, while not taking up much space outside the tub area. Instructions were easy to follow. Although if you have thicker tiles the provided plastic and screws may not work for setting the bar ends. I am my own contractor so am able to adapt may items to work well for me.
