Excellent, low cost device that works great!
The call system works great for my elderly mom to let me know if she needs help to the restroom, etc., or to wake me in the night if she needs help. I don’t really see the need to have ALL those different sounds, but I guess it all depends on how you use it. It could be used for a doorbell, or a call button that you have a package outside, or many other things. Some very pleasant tones, tunes, and sounds. But for my purposes, the ones that are most useful are the really loud “alert” tones. I guess the only thing that I wiuld wish for on this device is that it was a little more “carry” friendly (like a clip for your belt). Of course, the 500ft range covers a lot of area. My mom has “that other kind” of portable device that alerts a central station & authorities for when I may have to be away for a short time, in case she were to fall. But we needed one that was for things not quite so “urgent”, that would only alert me, her caregiver. As for the setup, it was a breeze. Make sure you have the proper batteries when you order your device (the call button and receiver use different batteries). I got those from Amazon also. Just a matter of taking out a screw and putting in the CR2032 battery in the call button, and get this-they even provide the screwdriver! Then pop 3 AAA’s in the receiver, follow the EASY instructions to pair them, choose your alert tone, and you’re in business.

Perfect for Child with Special Needs
I have a 12 year old daughter with Down syndrome who has delayed speech. When she gets ill, it is difficult for her to call for me and I feel tied to her room out of fear of not hearing her if she needs me. I ordered this alert this week because she was ill and I kept running upstairs to check on her. Often discovering she'd been sick but couldn't get help.. Although she was on the road to recovery by the time I received it, it did come in handy last night and worked perfectly (if not too well). We have a two story house and she was in the upstairs bedroom on one end of the house while I was on the main floor on the other end of the house. When she pushed the button, it rang in my room with no problem. I was looking at some buzzers and bells but those only made a noise from her room. I don't know if I would have heard them where I was at. I like that the speaker end is mobile so I can take it with me throughout the house. It has 43 different "alarms" which actually seems a bit much. I wish they had a list of all the alarms to choose from. Some play a melody and some a tone. Some are funny like a door bell chime that then has some voice yelling something I can't quite make out. The musical ones continue to play until you stop it from the speaker end. This comes in handy in case you don't hear the initial chime. The price was perfect, too. My husband thinks I'm crazy for giving her this power, but my two other children have always had a voice to call me when they are sick. I can't "turn them off" and they can get needy, too when they don't feel good. My youngest needs her "voice" as much as the next person. I hope to not have to use this much in the future, but glad I will have it on hand and will sleep easier the next time she is ill.

Works well, but why is the receiver so large?
Setup was very easy. I powered on the received first, but did not perform any alarms adjustments at that time. Then I powered on the remote and pressed the ALARM button to test it, and WOW ... the receiver blasted out an intrusion alarm at full volume. It was easy to reduce the volume and find a less exciting tone. My only issue is the rather inconvenient size of the receiver unit; at 4.5" x 2.5" x 1.5" it seems to be twice the size as it needs to be. Since this is brand new, battery life (3 x AAA in the receiver and 1 x 2032 in the remote) is TBD.

LOUD ENOUGH TO WAKE DEEP SLEEPERS
My mother is very sick. She needs help rising from sitting and from the bed. We had a baby monitor for her but sadly as she has gotten sicker her voice is too weak to use the monitor. This monitor is the perfect solution for our family. The alarm button is very easy for a weak frail person to press. The alarm is very loud and could wake a deep sleeper. There are many choices for the alarm sound. It does NOT come with any batteries.Battery life has been fine for us. We have used it for one month and we are still on our first set of batteries. It does look cheaply made but it works great.

Good design but no batteries included
The sending unit is light weight and easy to use. Seems to be a good product for its low cost. Be aware that that the seller does not provide any of the batteries needed. This is not so much of an issue with the receiver which takes AAA size which many of us have. However, the sending unit takes a C 2032 battery which I think the seller could have provided.

So glad I made this purcahse
I am providing health care support to a family member who recently had surgery. Since she does not have a cell phone to text me, this nurse alert has been invaluable. We easily set it to a nice ring tone and it alerts me when she needs assistance. It was easy to set up and the volume can be adjusted to meet your needs. I keep it on low volume and it wakes me from sleep just fine.I can't speak of the battery life yet but have had it on 24hrs continuous for six days and no battery issues yet. The plastic battery cover on the receiver is a bit loose and has fallen off twice but, if I was concerned, a piece of tape would fix that. I am just careful with it. This has served its purpose many times and is so worth the price. This allows the patient some privacy while keeping in touch with the health care provider. We are in a small three story farm house and the receiver sounds on all three levels with no problems.
