Great laptop...
I've now had this laptop for about 3.5 months, and it's worked very well for me. It's light, fast and simple. I did upgrade both the storage and RAM shortly after I got it to 512GB and 32GB, respectively, but even as it originally came it performed quite well.Granted, they don't make them like they used to, and the unit does feel a bit flimsier than my prior laptop, which is a Dell Inspiron 15-3521, but it's still adequate. It does make it pretty lightweight though, which is nice. The keyboard could also use some support in the middle, as it presses down a bit while typing on it. Not so much that it makes me worry or that it interferes in any way with my typing, but it's noticeable. The screen, while not a touchscreen, is bright and sharp. And the sound, while not having much bass to speak of, is typical of a laptop. I don't have much experience with the battery, as I normally have it plugged in, but the one time I did use it solely on battery was for about four hours, and it still had what it estimated was nearly two hours' worth of charge left. Of course, how long it lasts on battery will majorly depend on your screen brightness as well as how you use it. i.,e. the more strenuous the activity on the CPU and GPU, the more quickly the battery charge will dissipate. One thing that irks me, just as it did with my prior Inspiron laptop, is that they use a straight barrel plug for power rather than a 90° barrel plug, so it sticks straight out of the side of the laptop. I ended up buying a 90° adapter, but it should come with a 90° plug from the get go.Pros:- Fast CPU and halfway decent GPU for the class of laptop- Speedy storage- Decent battery life- Fairly easy to upgrade the RAM and storageCons:- Not built as solidly as they used to be- Keyboard should have more support underneath- Straight barrel plug rather than a 90° barrel plug for power

Great for the price, granted I got it barely used.
It is lightweight and reliable, I can play low demand video games, surf the web, and get work done. Great value.

hinge breakage
I had this type dell all the way through college. It put up with a ton of travelling. I was dumb enough to buy it twice after that and saw weak battery life and structural difficulties (frame and hinge breakage) Loved it for years but would not recommend now. if i keep it plugged it and prop up the power cable I at least get service. what the heck is up with your power cables?

Good Product, but has some flaws
I Bought this for my wife, and when we open up the package it had some flaws, little scraths on the back of the screen, and it was dirty, my wife was dissapointed when she opened cause even tho was probably new, look like a used one, wich make it a big flaw.On the Other end, it worked fine, it was doing its job, the battery life was a but suspicious too but, nothing really deal breaking, hopping for those to be fix in the future

Pleased so far with this computer.
I am happy with the graphics and with the fact that it is very lightweight. I was also happy with how easy it was to setup. I am in my eighties and not very tech savy,so its being user friendly was very important. I hope it is durable and will serve my needs for quite some time.

Dell Inspiron 15 3525 Lightweight Student Laptop - 15.6 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 120Hz Display
I almost returned this computer because it wasn't picking my printer to print something. I then thought could my VPN on my virus program be causing this problem? I turned off the VPN and it recognized my printer and prints every time. I wish I had thought of this earlier or I wouldn't have gotten rid of my last computer.

Great value notebook with 120Hz screen
I ordered the AMD 8GB RAM 256GB SSD model but somehow this one came with a 512GB SSD. Which is neat but I already bought a 1TB one for it.The notebook has 2 DDR4 3200mhz RAM slots, upgradable to 64GB (2x32GB).It has an empty 2.5 inch SATA HDD slot next to the battery for storage upgrade.Replacing the NVMe SSD also very simple. Everything is seen as soon as you removed the bottom cover.I remember the mid 2013 Alienware 17 needed to taken apart in order to replace the M.2 SSD and the other slot of RAM.Gaming performance is as great as the steam deck, this notebook has 120Hz screen which makes it better.Speakers are surprisingly alright.Battery life is way better than any intel notebooks.Downsides are there is no more LED indicators for power, HDD status and numlock, at least the caps lock has indicator. The USB A slot are "very tight" to plug in. No ethernet slot. No USB-C charging.

good laptop
hardware is amazing for the price. high refresh rate is amazing on a laptop. only issues i have is battery life, and the chassis of the monitor is flimsy; you can accidentally mouse click just by lifting the laptop and making it bend. you get what you pay for and the price more than makes up for the issues.

Seller does not respond
Delivery was fast. The laptop was the one expected. Five keys suddenly stopped working within eleven months. Contacted Dell who said i need to transfer the warranty under my name. The only info I need to provide is the seller's postal code. I wrote to the seller to ask for that info and got no answer. Amazon gives the sellers 2 days to respond. It's been 5 days now. I hope he reads this review and contact me before the warranty on my side ends on January 23. If he does I'll be happy to delete this review.
