Sodastream Bottle original 2 pack 0.5 liter / 16.9 oz launched in 2017

I was never finishing my big bottle and wasting water and gas. This size is exactly what I needed. No idea what country they were intended for or if they are "authentic".

These are a great size for times when a full bottle is more than you need or family members want different flavors. They charge up quickly and the bottles are durable.

Missed the fact that these are not dishwasher safe before purchase, but we still love them.

These bottles are small sodastream carbonating bottles that are compatible with almost all sodastream models (everything *except* the glass-bottle models [aqua fizz, penguin, and crystal]). If your machine uses plastic bottles, then these are compatible. They are half the size of what I think of as the "standard" 1L sodastream bottles, and they have white caps and bases. Once you're done with them, they're even recyclable!I have been using various sodastreams for around 6 years, and the model I use is a basic Jet. I use it a moderate amount - maybe once or twice a week - and when I make seltzer I'm usually only making it for myself. I have had these bottles for about two weeks and in that time I have used each one several times.Advantages:-The smaller bottle means that I can make a perfect single-serving amount - about one pint glass - of seltzer, and I don't need to worry about storing it and keeping it fizzy afterwards (we all know that fizz doesn't keep terribly well!)-The small bottle means it's faster to chill water (always carbonate cold for maximum fizz!)-Having two bottles means I can always have one full, chilled, and ready to goDisadvantages:-With half the water but a similar-sized air pocket at the top of the bottle, I suspect this bottle uses more carbon dioxide per liter than a regular bottle. Please note that I have not verified this.-Smaller bottle means you have to wash it more often-If you're trying to make seltzer or soda for multiple people, this will only serve about two people comfortably in one goStandard sodastream carbonating advice/cautions stand: no dishwasher, don't freeze it, keep an eye on the bottle expiration date, and add flavor only after carbonation.

My only reason for deducting a star is that the water line is printed too low. You should fill it to about halfway between there and the top. Also, ads are misleading, implying half liter bottles can't be gassed directly. They can.

the bottles are not cheap . I have had two bottles fall and the bottom has cracked and come off from the base. I used a quick glue to put them back on but they look terrible because they have a crack in the base. it doesn't affect how they work but appearance wise they look cheap . They need to come up with a better design for the bottles .

These bottles work well. They dont go in the dishwasher, so they are not easy to clean. I wish there were stainless steel bottles!

These are great for our soda stream. The bottles that came with it end up not holding fizz long enough. Having smaller bottles is great. These need to be cleaned by hand. Don’t leave in a sink. Our bottles got dirty sink water under the white bottom cap and we can’t get that grime out. We have the same issue with the bottles that came with our soda stream though.
