Size matters
Twice I have ordered these shoes and both times the size is ONE SIZE shorter than standard US shoe size (at least for size 13). Ordered size 14 and just long enough, yet still on the short size for one size larger.

Well made!
I don't write many reviews but these shoes deserve it. First thing I noticed is that they were more like sturdy well made work boots and less like a slip on shoe. The soles were heavy and offred good support. The steel toe did not "bite" the top of my foot when I walked. They also fit well and were a bit snug to get on but once on they felt very secure. I own a landscape maintenance company. I would not chose these to work in the field all day because the lack of ankle support, but they would do in a pinch. For walking around and do inspections, and working up quotes they are perfect. They also look nice enough to wear in most casual business type environments. They also need a bit of breaking in, don't expect that soft slipper type fit the first few days. I have had mine for a week now and they feel good.

Worst break in period ever required extras
These shoes have the worse break in period. The inside portions of the tounges dug into my foot and caused a wound after the first day. This made the shoes painful to wear I had to use blister tape in to relieve the pressure. Poor arch support that required different insoles. These also do not slip on easily and require a shoehorn to keep the heels from getting destroyed. After healing and $50 in extras I wear these everyday and they are great. The fit is very good and while being not easy to slip on at least they stay on snuggly. If these shoes had better insoles and the tounge was redesigned these would be 5 stars.

Thoroughgood boots
Day 2 on the construction site; first impression boot looks a little goofy ...kind of like a clog ...but after wearing these to work on concrete all day I dont care what they look like ... incredibly comfortable like walking on a ergo mat all day ...and no rubbing or brake in neededAnd when I get home dont have to sit down and untie my boots to get them off ..I'm only giving them a 4 star rather than the 5 because of the high toe making them look funny ...

Very comfortable. Sturdy build. All day work shoe.
Very nice shoe. Wear at least 14 hours a day. Mixed days of standing on concrete all day to sitting in office all day. Comfortable all around. They do look a little funny as they have a clog look to them but for the comfort I don't care. And once they're scuffed up like a work shoe/boot should be they look fine. I scored these on a warehouse deal for a fraction of the new cost. Well worth it and will keep my eye out for another deal and will buy again. I used bees wax boot conditioner once. I read the wax helps with water resistance but hinders breathing. I used the wax all the time on my Romeo's but the soles wore out within one year. My feet get sweaty so I will try leather conditioner next time and see if ventilation is better.

From a Merchant Marine Engineer, shoe highlights.
These shoes had such lasting impact, I decided to buy another pair. (First time in 35 year work history.) See photos, old pair + new. I like extra room in the toe so I bought a size up. Width size was usual Med works well fit as intended. I use custom orthotics fit inside perfectly. Ok one thing I need to mention that the soles grip is great on oily or wet surfaces. The bottoms have no protruding heels to catch on deck irregularities. I’m a merchant marine engineer, fast putting on, and great on steel decks and steep stairs.

Good , solid shoes.
I’m a install/service tech and needed safety shoes. These fit as expected, they’re fairly comfortable. Two things, the only negative is the break in period. The first three to four days the portion that sits around the top of your ankle is really tight. But after that they are extremely comfortable. Also you will need a shoe horn but all in all a good solid comfortable pair of shoes
