We ordered six of the 1" and six of the 2" ball valves. We had the 1" and 2" leak oil and water directly through the castings. Several of them after being installed leaked at 50 psi through the seal in the valves. We make up 2" valves routinely with a 24" pipe wrench with probably 200 lbs on the end of the wrench. The one 2" we made up that tight split the casting in multiple places. I would suggest using these valves on 10 psi applications only and make them up hand tight on plastic pipe only...

I water my garden using IBC containers. The ball valve handle at the bottom of one of my containers snapped off, so I used this valve as a screw on replacement. It does fit my tank but it is leaky even with Teflon tape. Probably 3 drips per second. Ideally I would’ve preferred it not leak at all so that I can fill my tanks and leave them full so they will last until a day that the garden needs water. In this scenario, I have to fill them on the evening I plan to water. In that case, the valve restricts the water enough to be useful. And it helps that I can directly connect my 2” draft hose for my harbor freight water pump so that I’m pulling from the bottom rather than the top. All things considered, I will order another for my non-broken tank just so that I can draft from the bottom and maximize my watering. I would not buy this if it was for plumbing indoors where leaks really do matter more.

Do not buy these. They are junk. They will not hold up. We installed these on a water line and everyone of them leaked.
