Great die-cast model of talking Hiro
Great die-cast model of talking Hiro. Special sound was pretty cool (they all have one). My son loves these Take-N-Play models, and is starting his own collection. He calls Hiro as "Yo" and Hiro's tender becomes "Yo Ten" LOL (he's less than 2 yrs old). When he wanted to soak them in the water while taking a bath, naturally the sound stopped. Then there was a high pitched pinging sound, and on removing the batteries and cleaning it up I put everything back together, then Hiro's voice became very high pitched (like he inhaled helium). Then later on his normal voice came back. This tells me these models are pretty well built and can withstand child play. I only wished pressing the button gave a good sound clip of Hiro's whistle, which is very nice.

Amazon Man - the new Santa of my son.
Thomas and friends are celebrities world over.My only child/son 'Doodle' had problems with speaking and communication, he is now 3 years and six months old. Due to our busy schedules we were unavailable and he spent most of his time on iPad. One day I came across an old Thomas the tank engine book. I read out to him one night and he was very interested. Gradually he became a fan of Thomas and friends. His vocabulary improved and he started staying away from iPad.He was very happy that Amazon Man has gifted him 'Hiro' today. We all thank you Amazon.

Hiro is small, durable, and a perfect model of the character. He travels easy in my son's backpack, pockets, my purse, or to just carry. The light is bright enough, but not too bright. The magnets are strong enough to hold Hiro and his cargo cart together through not so sturdy tracks or uneven floors. It has held up great through the rough play of my 5 year old. We love this train, and this specific model of Thomas trains. I highly recommend it.
