Very sturdy and easy to stain cord saver!
At first I was hesitant to spend more than $30 for a 3 ft section of cord saver. I wanted to have it match our laminate flooring, which is very difficult to do by looking at pictures online. Thankfully, they offered a stainable version. When I received the item, I was highly impressed with the sturdiness and the natural woodgrain cover. It was textured and had a realistic woodgrain appearance as well. For my stain, I used a water based stain+poly one step stain in dark walnut. Now most of these types of stains recommend using a brush to apply the stain, however for my application I just lightly dipped a paper towel into the stain and rubbed it on the wood grain cover. This allowed me to apply a light layer of stain, control any over saturated spots and have a more smooth, uniform color. After 2 coats, I let it dry (about 10-15 minutes for my water based stain in between coats) and assembled the cover. Additionally the cord saver has rubber grips underneath to grab the floor which works flawlessly. It blends very well with my floor and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is needing a cord cover solution!

Looks good on our hardwood floors.
This is a GREAT product! I looked at a lot of different products and this one stood out. It was easy to place electrical cord in and hide it. The color was very close to our hardwood floors. Also.....do not remember when I bought this product if it advertised that it has a non-slip bottom surface (floor contact surface). But, it really works. The vacuum goes back and forth over the cord saver and it does not move. Very nice product, you will be satisfied.

Does the trick
Cons: Very high profile, not "dark" oakPros: Does the trick, fact that is does not match the floor as well as expected could be a pro cause people will see it, easy to use, no double-sided tape or glue needed... it does seem to stay in place. But, it is not totally secure. If you are looking for something that will not budge, this wouldn't be it. I suppose you could put carpet tape underneath, but I do like that it doesn't not damage my new hardwood with a sticky adhesive. The biggest issue I have it that is says "Dark Oak" and in the photographs it looks as such. But, it is not Dark at all. I would say it is more a light oak... or it may be able to pass for medium for some. Color is difficult to assess on a computer, but this is not close.

Good for hiding coords on wood floors
Does exactly what's advertised, with the color of the actual product matching what's shown in the picture. The "wood" part interlocks with the rubber bottom, so to add and remove cords you just pull them apart, tightly bundle cords, and reassemble the two pieces together. The rubber part doesn't have adhesive, but the rubber grips well to our wood floors so it doesn't slide at all. It's also very durable. We have it right at the entrance to our apartment, so the three of us have walked over it going in and out every day for a year. It's pretty inconspicuous too, but as you can see from the picture, the rubber base extends a bit past the "wood" so it's not completely camouflaged. Not a problem for us though by the door frame - who looks at a door frame in the first place? I'd recommend putting this as close to a wall, door frame, or any other large and visually-uninteresting item for best results.

These are nice, look great and function well
These are nice, look great and function well. However, people can still trip over these quite easily. Still trying to decide weather to bite the bullet and install a floor outlet in my nice hardwoods...

Very Durable!
I bought this with much reservation due to the price and I did not want a trip hazard as this is used in the doorway from my foyer/entry to my living room. I have had it for almost two years now and it works great. It is threshold height, but all the cables fit in and I don't trip over it like I thought I would. I step on it all the time (unintentionally) but it holds up. It blends in nicely with my hardwood floors. I did not adhere it at all. It just sits there and I barely notice it anymore. As I mentioned, I was skeptical, but am very happy with it.

An oh darn moment I did not want cords across my floor.
Moved to a new house with hardwood floors, bought new reclining sectional that are electric. An oh darn moment I did not want cords across my floor. I found these which work great, the outlet is about 3 foot from the recliners plug. Two worked perfectly, they bud up next to each other (they do not snap together that would have been great) however, they do not move because of the bottom is rubber. They are not oh my goodness beautifully perfect for someone who likes to have everything just right but they do the job and are not tacky looking. I is what it is, I had cords and needed to hide them and this looks the best.

Stainable Doesn't Take Stain Well at All
After 4 coats of Minwax Classic Oak, I gave up. It doesn't match at all, but looks better than cords. To make it less obtrusive, I wanted to stick it to the molding, but it wouldn't adhere. Needed a 23' run, so this was expensive and I'm less than thrilled.

Eliminated my tripping hazard
Last time I used something like this, there was a sticky adhesive. This has no adhesive, it sits flat on the floor and stays put. Thick enough for a fat AC able, Ethernet, and speaker wires. Matches my floor and looks good.

Perfect!
Just what I was looking for to hide and protect a thick speaker cord and a gaming power cord that ran across an open entrance between the foyer and the livingroom. No worry of people tripping anymore either. I used to have a mat to cover the cords, but of course the mat constantly moved around making the cords move as well so that they would expose themselves regularly and looked messy. The mat also didn't look like it belonged. The pre-stained wood grain ChordSaver looks really tidy and beautiful as well as it does not slip if stepped on. It does not use sticky tape to ruin our floors, or lose stick power, just the non-slip rubber strips on the bottom. So does not move sideways yet it picks up easily. My husband even approved! I watched a video, and easy to pull apart and snap back together, and can be joined together if offset a bit. Happy Hubby, Happy Wifey! Thanks for making such a wonderful product.

Would not reccommend in high traffic area with bare feet
Very durable however does not feel good barefoot. I purchased this for in-house use and find it too bulky and intrusive in the living space. The adhesive does not keep it in place either. I have gone back to just covering cords with a rug instead.

High off the floor and not real comfortable for stepping
They're a little higher off of the floor than I imagined. For my use they're unnecessarily big. I'm just running a cable for powered recliner.
