MCS Format Frame, 9 x 12 in, Black

Superb frames. Needed something light and cheap to get the troves of art my elementary kids produce. These do the job perfectly.The frames are black plastic, with a glass front. I was surprised to see (from the instructions) that they open from the front, and not the rear as with most other frames.As mentioned in other reviews, I needed to trim a few millimeters from the edges. I lined up the art and the glass and trimmed the excess.Instead of kids artwork, if you are mounting your Picasso paintings, I can understand you will not like the trimming. Then again you should be looking for a more expensive mounting process for your expensive artwork.I needed 10 of these frames. I got a better deal by going directly with a third party merchant instead of Prime. They consolidated shipping prices for a significantly cheaper deal. The frames were at the door in a few days, were packed great, and arrived in perfect condition.Very happy with the purchase. Amazon to the rescue instead of driving around local stores for something as cheap and nice.

The description on the Amazon page -- and even the included instructions that come with the frame -- state that the frame can also be used in a standing position with the attached easel back. This is why we purchased the frame, to use it with the easel back. Unfortunately, the frame had no easel back attached -- and there was no sign that the frame was even manufactured with the easel back. So, we're keeping the frame because it fits the piece we want to frame, but we are forced to hang the frame on the wall. So, beware: This frame can only be used as a wall-hanging; there is no easel back that comes with the frame. Also, the frame, including the clear cover, is all plastic, and not all that well manufactured, but it works.

These frames are so versatile....great value for your money.

The size is off on the frame. I had to cut down my paper to fit the frame, not much but the area to place your image is not quite the size listed. It did not bother me to much, and I had read it in other reviews so I was prepared for it. Still it should be mentioned constantly just in-case a buyer does need exactly 9 x 12 inches instead of just slightly less.I also did not receive the plastic easel attachment that is advertised in the video for the product. I had no intention of using it, so once again not a issue. But don't assume you will get one with yours either. Quite a few other reviewers are reporting not receiving one either.Other then that though it is a good cheap frame. I like how it looks on my wall, and the front loading system worked quite well.

Was a bit worried about how I would insert my completed diamond painting into this frame as I couldn't really tell from the reviews how this frame worked. Some reviews said the "paper" had to be thin, would only work for construction paper, etc... but I mounted my diamond painting canvas on to the cardboard backer board that came with the frame and it popped into the frame very easily. I love it, it's plenty sturdy, nothing fancy but it also doesn't detract from the painting itself. I wanted something affordable that would look nice enough to hang in my daughter's dorm room and this fit the bill perfectly!!

Received these frames yesterday! I got them for the purpose of displaying my watercolor artwork. It is difficult to find good frames that fit 9x12s, but these do the trick. The frame itself is hard plastic, but it has a nice glass, front-loading frame.Ideally the frame would be wooden and have the option to have a table stand (this only has the option to hang both vertically and horizontally)...but the price and quality makes up for those drawbacks. What I do love is that the artwork is not covered at all by the edge of the frame, they are sturdy, and they look quite high end from afar.**note: I did have to cut about 1/8 of an inch off the bottom of my picture to get it to fit nicely in the frame. It's possible my canvases are a little larger that 9x12, but either way it wasn't too my of a problem.**

I'll be fair so I'll give you the pros and cons. I generally did not like the frame so much, however it's a good product for the price:I begin by cons:1) at least my frame did not come with an easel. So, I would not be able to put it on a desk. I can only hang it on a wall. The product definitely claims that it should come with one. At least mine was missing. Since, I really needed this, I did not have time to return and get a replacement.2) my photo was exactly 9 by 12 inches, and when I wanted to fit my photo in the frame I realized that it does not fit in the frame. So, be alarmed unlike claimed by the manufacturer it does not fit a 9*12 inch artwork (also interestingly 12 inches is not equal to 30 cm). I measured it to be 8 7/8" by 11 15/16". So, I have to cut my photo by 1/8" in width and 1/16" in length to be able to fit it in the frame.Pros:1) it's a good quality frame, and good quality for the price2) it's easy to assembleSo, you see that I have mixed feelings about this frame regarding the claims that seem to be wrong. But as you see, with some fine tunings, I could make it work. However, I still cannot put it on a desk.

You see, I bought this product by accident.I was searching for 9x12 frames, and came across MCS a few times, but a bunch of their reviews scared me away. There were claims of poor quality, difficulty of install, etc.I guess I had a brain fart, and clicked, 'buy it now' on this one. It arrived, and I went, 'oh crap, I bought an MCS?'So I thought I'd give it a try anyway.Turns out those other reviews were unwarranted or wrong, or they've changed their design. This frame is beautiful, was super easy to install, and I have 0 complaints whatsoever. it is worth every dollar I paid for it.

honestly nicer than what I was expecting.20$ was kind of at the top of what I wouldve liked to pay for just a simple plastic picture frame but I'm not upset about what I got for the price.also I didnt expect it to be actual glass in the front that was a nice suprise. It was wrapped very well and came without a scratch on it!I'd buy it again tbh if I ever needed another frame. can stand or hang lengthways or horizontally! so. all in all. not too shabby!

Pongo 4 estrellas porque me pareció un marco muy sencillo para el precio, sin embargo cumplió con el objetivo y probablemente lo vuelva a comprar al ser del tamaño ideal para mis trabajos.La calidad me pareció buena e hizo al proyecto lucir bastante bien, sólo hay que tratarlo con cuidado al momento de montar la pieza, porque me dio la impresión de que podría romperse al manejarse de forma brusca.

Good basic frame,

Cadre simple ; plastique et vitre. Sans doute vaut-il un peu moins cher que ce que j'ai payé, mais franchement, je suis bien heureux de mon achat.
