Micro USB Data Cable for all LG Micro USB Phones - Black

When this cable arrived today I connected my LG500G Tracfone to my pc (Windows XP) hoping to download some music to the phone and upload some pictures on the phone to the pc.It started charging the phone right away but the pc did not recognize the device! I'm not sure if I need some special software to do this or not. Anyhow, I did not get done what I wanted to get done but I don't think it's the cable's fault.Another surprising thing about my transaction was the shipping time. I received a notice that it was shipped on Aug 24 but wouldn't arrive until 9/17 (it came today, 9/14).I had sent the vendor, BOQOPO, an email asking why it was going to take so long to arrive. They responded very quickly and informed me that this cable was being shipped to me by mail from Hong Kong! They told me that if it did not arrive (it did)that they would send a duplicate shipment at no-charge or give me a credit. So this vendor does provide excellent customer service, but I thought it strange that the shipment was from Hong Kong.Oh, the connector to the phone port fit perfectly. I read some reviews here from people who said it did not connect well but I didn't experience that problem.(P.S. - After playing with the p.c. for about an hour I stumbled upon the correct sequence for connecting the phone via this cable to have the p.c. recognize the device and was able to upload photos from phone to p.c. Bottom line, the cable works just fine.)

Shipping (Buzztronics) was very prompt(same day) and the cable works as advertized for both charging and data transfer (the phone is an LG800G).However - it is listed as being made by LG, and that seems doubtful, since:- it came without any packaging (just loose in the USPS envelope),- it has no LG logo/sticker anywhere,- the jack going into the phone looks different from the pictures,- the jack going into the phone is a bit longer than it should be and sticks out a bit, and- the fit is VERY tight on the phone side and requires a lot of care to connect without damaging either the phone or the cable.Quality is o.k. but not great. To me it seems like a generic Micro USB cable -- although in all fairness it's also priced as one. Nonetheless, I feel that it should not be listed as being "LG Micro USB data Cable for all LG Micro USB phones" unless it is actually made by LG [it should just be described as "Micro USB data Cable for all LG Micro USB phones"]. 1 star deducted for poor fit, average quality, and being listed but not manufactured by LG (probably).

I bought this to have an extra charging cable for my android. I was disappointed it didn't come with an electrical adaptor. The charging cable that came with my phone had an electrical adaptor (second photo). I have a "multi-plug" that has USB (first photo). I plugged this cord into USB on the multi-plug and I got, "charging slowly, please use cable that came with phone." So, I tried plugging THIS cord into the electrical adaptor that came with the cord that came with my phone (second photo), no problem. Charged appropriately.UPDATE: I tried it in my car. Plugged into USB port. Charged rather slowly. But, I did NOT get the issue of "please use the cable that came with your phone."If you buy this cable, go to OfficeMax or whatever and purchase an electrical adaptor. In addition to the one that came with my phone (second photo), I also have a "cheapie" electrical adaptor that I bought at a gas station (third photo). This cable worked ok with the "cheapie" adaptor as well as the one that came with my phone. But if you plug into USB on a "multi-plug," you will get the "warning."

The primary reason why I purchased my LG500 tracfone was because of the mp3 player function and of course the cost. However, I had been unsuccessful in finding the appropriate cable that would allow me to transfer music files to my phone. I finally lucked out and found a thread about the same issue and decided to go ahead and purchase this particular cable which I had had my eye on anyway here on Amazon.The cable works like a charm. Within minutes after receiving it, I had placed about 50+ songs unto my phone.The shipping did take a little longer than expected. I placed my order on August 7th at night and my estimated delivery was for the 13th-15th. It arrived 2 days later on the 17th. Nevertheless, I am very happy with my purchase. I only wish I had went ahead and ordered this sooner. I had no choice after my old, over 4 year old Sansa mp3 player finally gave out on me for the last time.

I bought this cable based off of very positive reviews, and price point. Overall they delivered the basics but ultimately I had to purchase another set of cables that ended up working for what I needed.Pros:- Well built. You can tell that the construction of the cables is top notch. My old cable's micro usb adapter bent after my son picked up my phone while it was charging. I don't see that happening with these cables.- They fit my phone, Galaxy Nexus.- They seemed to provide a quick charge for my phone. In a about an hour my phone was at 100% battery from my A/C to usb adaptor, which is great.Cons:- I teather my phone to my computer, and need a data link. This did not work- Cables are rather short. My old cable was a good 5 ft, and the shortness of these cables is a bit of a hindrance. More then I excepted.Overall:Great cables to use for usb based charging (a/c based or otherwise). Not a data cable (at least for my phone Nexus Galaxy).

Works good even after 1 year. A genuine product. i am really satisfied by the quality of this lsg usb cable.

Doesn't seem to be original. My original data cable used to charge my mobile, with more than 1Amp power, this cable hardly gives 200mAmps and takes 5 hrs to charge :(
