Nice towel, packs up small
This outer space beach towel is a hit with my kids! The design is vibrant, fun, and perfect for little space enthusiasts. It’s soft and absorbent, making it ideal for beach trips or pool days. The size is generous enough to wrap around them, and it holds up well after multiple washes. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and practical towel.

Great
Is it a little thin? Yes. Does it come with creases from being in the packaging? Also yes. What do you expect from a $6-7 towel though? It’s not luxury, it’s fun. Creases came out in the wash. Color is vibrant and my 7 year old son LOVES it! The towel is really big, definitely not a small child size, has plenty of room to lay it out on the beach or use to wrap up with after swimming/bathing.

Great color. Good design but very, very thin.

The towel is paper thin and the picture is already coming off and it's never been used.
The towel is paper thin and the pictures are cracked and coming off. Looks nothing like the picture. Waste of money. I would not even give to my grandson for his present as it looks like its been used 20x over!!

Perfect for Gamers and Beach Goers Alike!
I recently purchased the Green Video Game Theme Beach Towel and was immediately impressed by its vibrant design and quality. The towel features a fun, eye-catching video game graphic that stands out, making it a hit especially if you’re into gaming and 6 years old.The microfiber material is both soft to the touch and lightweight, making it easy to carry around on trips to the beach or pool. It absorbs water effectively. It’s very thin and doesn’t feel like the typical microfiber. When I send it to summer camp and it’s used for a pool day it comes back wet and in need to be washed. At 60 x 30 inches, the towel provides ample space for lounging or drying off without feeling cumbersome. After several uses and washes, it has maintained its color and functionality, showing no signs of wear. For the price, the quality and features of this towel are as expected, offering good value for money. It performs as advertised and is a great pick not just for its functionality, but for its unique style too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a functional, stylish beach towel, especially if you are a fan of video games. It was a big win with my son!

Cute towel
The towel colors are vibrant and we love the idea of it, but the towel is very thin. It absorbs water, but is so thin, it doesn't allow for a complete dry off because it can't absorb the amount of water on your skin after bath or pool. Hoping it holds up in the wash.

… would’ve walked past it IRL
Sorry, my reviews are ridiculously long (especially when formatted into a tiny square), but I am pretty descriptive. Usually the first few sentences of a paragraph will give you the gist (if you don’t want to read the following explanations of said gist). 😅So I went back & forth on this for a while, but ultimately bought it bc of the positive reviews I read here … & bc I’m a sucker for matching stuff. I got my toddler a high waisted boho 2 piece for swimming (a one piece is too hard to get up & down for bathroom/diaper changes). So the prints aren’t exactly the same, but the theme & colors go together (or I thought they would) — I do that for all my kids so there’s NO question about “which is mine?” I should have just gotten the plain “luxury” poncho towel I was debating on 🤦🏻♀️. Anyway ….So the color. That’s the first thing I noticed, bc it looks nothing like the picture. My phone colors must be WAY off; I had to come back & make sure I got the right towel, like maybe there were 2 choices & I ordered the wrong one. The towel is a lot darker IRL, like the colors of the print & the background don’t have as much contrast. The background color is a dark light pink, like a darker shade of pepto bismol. Some of the print colors are almost neon, but not quite; some colors are just dark — but they all have similar values, so they just kind of blend together. I don’t even know how to describe it accurately bc it’s so weird. It’s like they wanted to be neon but didn’t go bright enough, so now it’s a flat neon that’s just loud & gaudy. I tried to take a picture but the colors don’t show up right & I thought that would be more misleading. The bottom line is, what I got looks nothing like the picture. The material. Ok, so first let’s talk about the nap (is it nap or nape?). You know how velvet has a certain direction it needs to lay to look nice? And if you brush the fibers in the opposite direction it disrupts the color & is very noticeable? (This towel feels *nothing* like velvet so I hate to even make that comparison, but I’ve got nothing else.) This towel has a nap (or whatever it’s called) & when you brush the fibers in the opposite direction, it turns white (bc the back of the fibers are white, not just the back of the towel). It’s like they brushed it super flat & then painted the design on (instead of actually dyeing it or using different colored threads); so it looks terrible in those spots. I noticed this irregularity & used my fingernail to brush some fibers in the opposite direction to test it out — & those spots still look weird, bc it’ll never lay perfectly, “factory flat” again. But now that I think about it, maybe washing it will fluff it up & tone down the colors (by mixing the top color with the white backing color) … nothing will make it look like the picture though. The material, again. It is extremely thin. I know microfiber is thin, I get it. But we have those microfiber squares to dry our cars & they are ten times fluffier than this towel (even though they’re like a sheet of paper compared to a bath towel). I have 20 year old threadbare bath towels that are still thicker than this towel. I think the only thing it’s thicker than is a lint free “tea towel”; the kind that are like a thin piece of muslin or linen (the type that stays flat & doesn’t “quilt” up when washed) — but that’s bc those don’t have any “fibers” (nap?) on them whatsoever. So basically, it’s thicker than a sheet of paper. But you know, it’s probably on par with a thick card stock 🤔. I can fit it (folded) in my purse, with all the typical stuff (wallet, keys, phone, makeup bag, etc.) still inside. Maybe portability is what they were going for … but if it doesn’t do its initial job (drying off), then it really doesn’t matter how portable it is. 🤷🏻♀️So I saw in the reviews one person used this as a baby nap blanket & I think someone else said it was also more like a blanket. That was probably one of the things I read that made me finally get this towel. Years ago I bought my newborn son a towel that was like a blanket — it was so thick & plush it was hard to dry him off with it (too much fluff for my small hands to maneuver around a tiny baby body); I could wrap him up in it & he could pee in it without soaking through it, even though he was a “super soaker” who could easily soak through the thickest nighttime-est cloth diaper in the world. It had a super fluffy chenille fabric on the outside & the thickest, fluffiest towel on the inside. When folded it was the height of 3 “regular” bath towels. To this day, I still haven’t met a thicker or fluffier towel. Ok, THAT is like a blanket.THIS is *nothing* like a blanket. Or it’s nothing like any kind of blanket I’ve ever seen — & I like shopping for home goods the way Imelda Marcos likes shopping for shoes. Blankets are supposed to be soft (as like a requirement basically) — this towel is not. It’s not as bad as a burlap potato sack — but it’s right above it, bc I don’t have anything else as scratchy & rough feeling. I mean, it’s not *terrible* — it’s not like a cactus or anything … but absolutely not my first choice when reaching for something to rub all over skin (unless I want a very gentle exfoliation, Ig). Again, I may need to wash it first to release some fluff. But I don’t expect my washer/dryer to perform a miracle or all out transformation. So assuming a wash will just improve what’s already there, it’ll still rank at the bottom of the towel pile (right above the potato sack). If it doesn’t soften up after washing/drying, I won’t be able to use this on my toddler bc she has sensitive skin. Not so sensitive that she needs special towels, but sensitive enough that she needs a “regular” towel. After all that, I won’t be returning this towel. I might have a problem when it comes to towels & blankets — I never turn one away & prob have way more than the average person. I *always* have a use for towels & blankets. Like if you’ve ever had 3 kids with the stomach flu at the same time & none of them can make it into the bucket at night, then you should also know — you can almost never have enough. Just changing their “beddings” 3 times during the night is already a total of 9! Then, during the summer, I always have a towel laid out in front of the door (like a rug), so the kids can come inside without tracking water all over the floor. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of things I can do with this towel.Oh, the size. I didn’t measure it & I don’t remember what they’re supposed to be. But it *is* smaller than the average beach towel. I think bath towels are pretty standard, & even though beach towels come in all kinds sizes, they’re usually bigger (& thinner) than bath towels. This one is probably a little smaller than the standard bath towel. I wanted the smaller size, so it’d be easier for my toddler to handle & not dragging on the ground or tripping her. I didn’t try it on her (the starch that gives clothes that “new” smell & crisp look gives her a rash) but it looked like it’d be a really good size for her … probably the only thing I actually liked about this towel. 😔BUT. …. You know, things like “soft” & “nice” or “rough” & “gaudy” are all really subjective. No matter what I think about it, there are obviously people who liked this towel. And you might even be one of them 🤷🏻♀️. My opinions are just that; yours could be totally different & this towel might be perfect for *your* needs, so take what I’ve said with a grain of salt. If you made it this far, I am extremely, thoroughly impressed.Good luck towel shopping 👍🏻
