The remote key you will be able to program yourself using a set of instructions. The remote key is a replacement item, not an original item, but will look and function just like an original one would.

Perfection! No problems
Worked perfect for my 2013 Chevy Cruze. $35 to cut the key at dealership and YouTube to program! Super easy! Dealership try’s to tell you it won’t work to get you to buy theirs for $150. Don’t listen to them or waste your money.

You have to find someone to cut the key.
You have to find someone to cut the blank. Worked perfect after I got it cut. I called a locksmith he wanted $75 just to cut and not program( he was the cheapest). Called my local hardware store that made keys and he wanted $50 to just cut the blade, both telling me the would not guarantee the key. Finally went to the dealer and he cut it for $30 plus tax also saying he would not guarantee it. The dealer offered to program it for a large fee of course. I went home and started the car with the original key(none key fob) then started the car with the new key fob and it was programmed immediately. It was a miracle the doors locked and unlocked and the trunk opened as soon as I took the key out and pressed the remote. Saved over $100

Mostly works for 2012 Chevy Cruze
Everything seems to work for the most part with my 2012 Chevy Cruze after I paid the locksmith to cut it and I self programmed it. All the buttons works including auto start but the only thing I can't get to work is the proximity to the trunk button. The factory remote will allow you to open the trunk with the rubber button underneath the lid if you have the remote in your hand but not this one, now matter how close you get to it. I'm happy though I can live with it for the affordable price to have a spare remote.

had to get it cut for 25$, but programming was a breeze, just inserted my old key, started the car, waited 5 seconds, inserted the new key and started the car ans it was programmed, all buttons work , no need for the dealer,
