DAP Weldwood Contact Cement 3oz. Tan, Water Resistant, Strong, Instant Bond

This is the real deal contact cement that I first used nearly 55 years ago. It works just as well as it always has, as long as you read and follow the directions.

Contact cement is a good way to repair items. Put it on, wait several minutes for it to glaze then put the item together. The only down side is you have to be careful joining things being glued together because once it makes contact you won't be able to move it again.

I don't like any other glue as much as this one. Holds fast like ceiling molding just put on both ceiling and molding and out together. But get it right in place the first time.

So this product works fine - wood, leather, steel, plastic, etc, does what glue should do. It's sticky and holds things.However the listing should clearly say that it will NOT bind with copper alloy metals like brass or bronze.

Used this to repair a peeling laminate edge and it bonded instantly. No clamps needed, just apply, wait a few minutes, and press together. Held strong even after cleaning and daily use. Small tube but goes a long way for DIY jobs.
