The media could not be loaded.  This is such a fun little item! The directions are pretty lacking, but it's easy to figure out the basics.1. Take the name tag and the USB cord, and plug into your computer. It should show up as a new drive, just like a thumb drive would.2. Install the .exe program, and open.3. Program your name tag, then be sure to click "send" to load it to the nametag.4. You will need to unplug the nametag from the computer to do a test.Those are the basics. In practice, there are so many options for programming this, that you will need to play around with each setting to make sure you understand what each one does. Another note, what shows up on the "preview" is not always exactly what the final version will look like on the nametag. For instance, on mine, the preview was much slower than it appeared after I loaded it to the nametag.Name tag does have an on/off button, and it can affix with a magnet or a pin. I prefer the magnet. Very nice. Won't damage your clothing. This would be great as a novelty item, or even as something fun to wear at work. You can use it to display any message, so the possibilities are endless.

I bought this as a dumb magnetic sign to stick on the outside of my dorm room door. Pro tip: the battery doesn't last long enough for that, it's definitely meant as a name tag. It comes with both a pin and also a magnetic plate and two magnets, so you can attach it to your clothing without poking any holes in it (unless you want to).The reason I removed two stars is the software you use to program the thing. You have to download it from this obscure Chinese site, and then set the language to English and try to figure out how it works. The built-in text tool is difficult to use, and because of the low resolution of the name tag, almost all fonts will come out hard to read. My recommendation is 8pt System. You can also import bitmap files, but they don't come out very well unless they're specifically 11 pixels high. There's a built-in editor that looks sorta like Windows 95 Paint, and about as hard to use as well.Overall, fun thing to tinker with, but there's a learning curve I didn't expect and didn't really want, especially for a screen that isn't high enough resolution for say, Nyan Cat.

I gave this as a birthday gift to a 10 year old and programmed it to scroll "My name is Jane, and I'm 10 today!" It was a hit. I had such fun programming it, and the software couldn't be easier. I foresee Jane using it over and over again for many occasions! Fast charging, and it comes with either safety-pin type fastener, or a magnet to hold it to your shirt or jacket. Well worth the money.

Had some difficulty downloading the software and getting it switched over to English but once I got that figured out, it worked great. Used it as my son's name tag for his robot party. He loved it and got lots of compliments. A few of the letters kind of run together but you could still read it. Great purchase for the price!

The led name badge does not show up as a drive. You need to download the software from a Chinese site from the link provided in the description. After installing plug in name badge and try to find the correct model in the list to correspond to what is shipped. Once that is all figured out the device works well.

bought 3 of these name badges and none of them will install. can not find software anywhere on computer. even googled it and you tube . alot complaining of same issue. horrible product. and seller must know of issues and still selling item. do not buy total waste of money.

the software is horrible but easy to use. Not all the fonts look well. Most of the pictures/icons did not work. I was able to put a name with A simple boarder.

Can't adjust horizontal scroll speed, kinda defeats the purpose of having it.
