USA Pine Straw - Premium Pine Needle Mulch (Premium Pine Needle Mulch - Covers 300 Sqft 4 Set)

These pine needles are really good for mulching. They come in sort of little cubes inside the box, and it's easy to pull those apart to spread the needles. They go on very fluffy, but with a bit of time and rain smooth down to a reasonable thickness. My blueberry bushes LOVE this, and produced the best they ever have once I mulched with this in spring. I also used it on a "woodland walkway" kind of area, and it's been really nice. No weeding or mowing, and very attractive and soft to walk on. Last year was the first year I used these, and the mulch all still looks in fine shape a year later.

I ordered 2 boxes previously and just ordered 3 more. The shipping on the first 2 boxes was delayed and took a little over a week, but still not too bad for free shipping. The quality is excellent. It seems a little pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. All long needles, great fresh color, no trash or leaves in it. Box was well packed, but I definitely needed more to cover the area of my garden.

Used this over cardboard to kill grass in my new banana plant bed. It worked out beautifully and will look even better once I place an edging around it. Had a storm the day after I put it down and it stayed in place. The only minor negative is that the two boxes arrived a day earlier with no notice so I had to muscle them from the front porch to the back yard instead of being home to ask the delivery person to place them on my flat dolly.

I took a chance and it paid off. Although this is more expensive than bales from Lowes, it is delivered to your door and the quality is leaps and bounds better than Lowes. Fresh, clean and goes a long way.

Order came sooner than expected . Used a hand truck to move to back yard . Easy to put straw down. Covered well .Pros: ease of application, swift delivery ., good coverage, lays well even with strong winds . Low price .Cons : More debris than anticipated ..pinecones and small branches .Will I buy again ? Unsure . Pine straw is difficult to obtain here in the midatlantic states but I may travel a bit to get a better quality straw .

I was very happy when i opened the box. It was jammed packed to the top. Will be buying more.
