great little burner
I reviewed all the other portable burners like this one and this one is the best! 15,000 btu heats up small pot of water or teapot within a couple min.,the top grating keeps wind from altering the flame, and you can remove it and put it in dishwasher to clean if needed. You really shouldn't have any gunk on the grates unless something boils over. The burner has an inner and outer flame for better heating. The directions state that you can't use a large skillet which would extend over the gas cylinder cover to the right. Doing so would cause the flame to over heat the cylinder inside causing it to vent and possibly explode. That being said just use a smaller skillet or pot. NOW! here's the best part. It's a dual fuel unit so it comes with a hose and fitting to use a coleman green type propane cylinders!! The hose fits through the open whole in the frame where the butane cylinder normally goes. Using this setup allows you to use the bigger skillets because there is no cylinder inside to overheat. I get 2 propane cylinders at hardware store for $6. ONE SAFETY issue. When using the green propane cyl, connect hose to burner unit first and then to the green cylinder! AFTER your done cooking you MUST unscrew the hose from the GREEN CYL, FIRST!!. and then from the burner unit. This is hose and fitting doesn't have and on an off valve; once you screw it on the green cylinder the gas will flow. If you screw on the hose to the green cyl. first without connecting to the burner the gas will shoot out and the hose will flop all around. When you turn on the gas from the off position immediately turn it all the way down to click the igniter. Otherwise it will just flow gas. It's not any different that having a gas stove top burner. It is actually hotter that my burners in the house. Just like any new tool you have to work with it a few times to get the hang of it. I'm going to buy a second one for emergencies.

Dangerous if used with the delivered adapter hose, stay away!
Worked well for the first one and a half months. Then the seal on the pressure relief valve broke and we had a discharge of gas in our apartment. Luckily we were in the kitchen and smelled the gas and even saw it escaping the valve outlet. We have the burner connected to a 20lb bottle with an adapter hose from the same manufacturer. But the hose with the relief valve is part of the original delivery. If we wouldn't have been in the kitchen at the time, the whole 20lb could have released into our apartment. That is life-threatening. Further investigation of the hose and the pressure relief valve showed that they are not stamped with any seal. Meaning they are not approved or tested by any known standard. Considering that this equipment has been build for private usage as on camping grounds and in homes, I wonder if it's even legal to sell without beeing tested. However I would wish that Amazon would have a quality control which does not allow selling of potential dangerous products.

Works well, with a few quirks
Not bad as small car-camping stoves go. I'm using this to replace an older, heavier two-burner Coleman stove.By comparison, this is much lighter (good), comes with a case (okay), and has a wider flame circumference (good and bad). It gets the pan hot, which is what's important. The bigger burner makes it less efficient with fuel, especially when heating a small pan, but may distribute the heat more evenly. Timing tests show almost no difference between my old Coleman and this GAS ONE stove when boiling identical amounts of water in the same pan. The case is a nice idea but poorly designed; the cheap plastic latches inevitably break or fall off. I like the automatic igniter in the GAS ONE, the dial-style is easier than the cranky push-button Coleman and has never failed to light. One big safety issue with this stove is, if you're using a propane bottle, it's possible to disconnect the hose (at the stove) before disconnecting it from the bottle, causing propane to gush out of the hose. Wheee! Boom? Don't do that. Even if you disconnect the bottle first, there's still a surprising amount of residual propane in the hose which will pfffft out, wasted, when disconnecting the hose from the stove.

Sleezy business strategy
The butane nozzle is not a standard one, they figured out that in the long term they can make more money by selling butane in unique GasOne containers that only fit their stoves. You will need to purchase GasOne butane, the regular ones don't fit. Or you can use propane -- the thread for the propane is a standard size.

Hard to substantiate
Seller claims the unit pumps out 15,000 BTUs; it's hard to substantiate for a regular joe blow.I did the boil test inside on top of my stove with the fan running.1) boil 1L of water in this burner2) boil 1L of water in a cheap Chinese burner3) both burners used butane4) both burners took the same amount of time. Conclusion Chinese burner cost $30. This unit cost $120. Since the Chinese burner only accepts butane I can't test with propane. But I can test the Gas-One using propane to see if it boils water any quicker. If it does the only advantage would be propane is cheaper to than butane. And propane works in colder weather. But is it worth $100 more. Typical butane canisters cost around $2.00 each hmmm that is around 50 canisters.

Dual-fuel! High output! Portable! Bad box!
Stove itself is pretty good. I bought this for its dual-fuel capability and high power--that's very convenient for car camping. However the plastic box is still cheaply made as any ordinary butane-only ones if you'd buy from any Korean supermarket. One accident drop from kitchen counter or from your rear cargo door, box will crack! In my family, we have another butane-only model that its box cracked at the same area. Have to apply some super-glue and Gorilla tape to keep it going.Tips: you can replace the very broken box with other brands normal butane stove box. They are basically the same dimensions and mafe of the same fragile black plastic.SAFTY NOTICEFor using the propane hose, screw the end to bottle/cylinder last. After use, unscrew the same end first. Otherwise, evaporating liquid propane may gush out to freeze your fingers or cause fire! Also, when hand-tighten it, only touch the brass part, avoid putting pressure on the red plasic adapter cap.

Very dangerous thing
the small hole on the red lid almost kill my son, suddenly leaking propane from the hole and the air pressure very high and it frostbite my hand when i try to twist off the propane tank.

AWESOME STOVE !!!
Wow!! This is my story: I am a full-time Van-dweller, and I had had two previous butane stoves. I bought each one for $20. They worked OK at best, but start to lose power almost immediately. I would always have to shake the stove to keep the flames going. It was very. very, annoying... But this GasOne GS-3900 makes those stoves look like TOTAL GARBAGE!! I KICKED THOSE STOVES TO THE CURB!! I am super impressed by the quality of this stove. It held a solid burn without losing the power. It is much hotter than my previous stoves. It is great for me, because in the winter it is a bit too cold to use butane effectively, so I can switch to the propane during winter, and use butane for the rest of the year. Solid stove! I recommend it ! Worth every penny. :)
