I must admit, I ordered this Mexican Yoga blanket because it was the most expensive. I expected it to be a better quality that would not shed much. Also, it is pictured with the pretty red design not shown on cheaper blankets. So for an extra $10 it should be a little bit special, right? When I opened the package, I found an ordinary blanket with no special red design woven in and sheds like the cheap ones. My yoga teacher agreed with me, stating, 'This is not a $25 Mexican Yoga blanket.' So learn from my mistake and save yourself some money.

Very loosely woven and not as heavy as blankets I have used in yoga studios. I have a feeling that it is going to lose its form and become just a blanket sooner than later. Wouldn't buy another one.

FYI, this blanket is 100% acrylic, not wool. The fabric content was not provided anywhere. This blanket works great in yoga class. As advertised, it provides the right support for poses.

Just started taking yoga at our company-offered class. All new props were purchased for this class and all items--8' straps, bolsters, blocks, mats, and blankets--were Hugger Mugger brand. The instructor said this brand was always good quality. For my home practice I also got this blanket. It is soft yet sturdy, has that broken-in look that I didn't mind throwing on the floor, and I can fold it just like in class. It washed up nice too. Kinda wanted to pick a color, but I received the black/gray one and I LOVE it. I never would have picked it but it really looks great! Also, when I purchased this same blanket mid September it was $24.99.

I have one of these blankets that I bought from a flea market. I love it. Mine has harder material. Its not meant to pull up and be soft against the face. Course, that's my opinion.This blanket arrived and immediately I saw one of the ugliest blankets I've ever seen, of this kind. It's mostly purple, with grey on it. I know the title of the prodcut description says colors vary, but give me a break. It's just ugly. I think the seller needs to show pictures of the different colors and give the customer the option of which color they want. Otherwise, every attempt should be made to ship the color shown in the picture. The picture accompanying the product description is of a beautiful hunter green with grey, black, and white, blanket.I am so disgusted with my blanket that I will be sending it back and I will not elect to do business with this seller again. Purple?! Really? I figured they came in reds, oranges, browns, etc. ...colors that seem to represent the culture in which these blankets themselves were based on. But purple? When a vendor says colors vary, they should do more to explain what your getting if you don't have the option to choose and they ought to have an inventory of tasteful colors to sell you- not purple. That's as bad as offering someone hot pink. It just doesn't go with this kind of blanket.

I'm experienced with yoga props, and have bought blankets from a variety of sources. I bought these blankets for gifts and was very impressed with the high cotton content, quality and look of the blankets - I wanted to keep them!Re cotton content- you can't go by the label. Many Mexican blanket producers low-ball the cotton percentage because its easier to clear customs - I wouldn't have known/believed this - but after several purchases, and several calls to vendors - I believe it now. Some of my nicest blankets have low/no cotton labels - but they're cotton.Anyway - these were super.

Not happy with item, picture of item is not accurate. Received 2 of item one being a return, still not as pictured. I really wanted ablanket with design of " red thunderbird," I understand the colors would very but the design was not on either blanket. I hada time issue when blanket was needed and had to keep one blanket I would of return both. Time is in reference when I neededitem, the shipping from seller was not the problem. I only wished that I had a blanket with the "red thunderbird" as pictured, therewas other seller listings of "thunderbird blanket" which I could purchased (maybe I should of) but this one was already in theworks. I hope seller would help in sending the accurate blanket as pictured.
