This thing is AWESOME
I love science and holding this thing in your hand, really messes with your head. Feels like you have a strong magnet but it is just gravity doing the work. Really good hands on tool to teach density.

Must be held to be believed.
Gift for my son who is a science nut...and couldn't be more impressed.

Writing anything about this behemoth is futile
After I bought it, I had a nightmare about my cousin moulding and changing its shape with his hands. That’s when I realized it’s a dream and woke up.This thing is immortal, indestructible, resistant to all forms of degradation. This thing is so dense it spawns miniature undetectable black holes with infinitely short lifespans, (reason why I’m alive and able to write this) out of its vertices. It will outlive me, you and your kids, and your kid’s kids, and your kid’s kid’s kids, and your kid’s kid’s kid’s kids, and your kid’s kid’s kid’s kid’s cousin... you get the point.Buy it and immortalize your legacy.

birthday gift for my chemist husband
I loved how carefully packed it was. And yes it sure is dense! Hubby doesn't receive it until Feb--for his tungsten birthday (on the periodic table). He's been giving birthday gifts to loved ones based on the element that matches their age on the periodic table--with an essay and some object that is the pure element itself or a compound of that element. I and our kids are giving a chunk of tungsten to him. I'm still using the tungsten containing ballpoint pens he gave me last year. We're having a ball. This idea came to my husband after reading Oliver Sacks' essay Mercury in his book Gratitude which makes a lovely gift in and of itself.

My life is now complete
As another reviewer said about a similar tungsten item, "The most expensive useless thing I ever bought."I love it. In fact, I like mine so much I gave one to my 87-year-old sister as a Christmas gift and she loves it too.A suggestion: I picked the cube over a sphere out of concern that a sphere could roll off a table. That would not be good.

It's a Tungsten Cube...
Came in a box. The cube it self was well protected by foam, but it's probably to protect everyone else. One Con. Came with wrong fact sheet. I bought the cube but came with the sphere fact sheet.
