The Politics of Fashion
I enjoyed this book very much. If you love learning about the history of the fashion industry this is for you. I particularly was interested in Grace as she was the editor at Vogue after Diana Vreeland but before Anna Wintour. Mirabella dished out exactly what I was looking for.

But, what about the workings of Vogue?
I was a little disappointed with this book. I guess I was hoping to read about how Vogue magazine gets put together ...on a more technical level ...than Ms. Mirabella's "wellI did this, and this, and then of course I was responsible for this," but no one appreciated me.Could bejust me. I had just finished a bio on D Vreeland and I was so ready for a book with some meat on it. So, if you want more Me, me, society girls just getting pocket money stories, cocktails in Italy, you will probably enjoy this a lot.

Inside the world of FASHION
Grace Mirabella not only lets you in on her life and her rise throught the fashion world, but she also takes us you on a wonderful ride and adventure. She truly made VOGUE a wonderful magazine and when she was 'let go' she didn't pout instead she started her own successful magazine, MIRABELLA. Thank you Grace for writing your memoir and sharing your life with us all.

Lovely Grace

Essential reading for Conde and fashion historians
I am fascinated by the history of Conde Nast and Grace Mirabella is one of the more elusive figures in the firmament. The book, surprisingly written with the aid of another writer, includes some great insights on Conde dynamics (which I expected). What I had not expected - but found so incredibly enjoyable - was a searing criticism of the 80s and fashions excesses and, ultimately, the age old question: should Vogue be a critic or champion of the fashion industry?
