Simply Incredible Series Finale
There's something about the anticipation of a specific book's release being shared by thousands of readers that makes just getting that book into your hands feel special & sublime. And when reading that book elevates those feelings through intrigue and emotional intensity, to the point where you feel fully immersed & invested in the very progression and outcome of the events leading to the characters’ ultimate HEA, that is romantic perfection. Claire Kingsley’s Rewriting the Stars is one of those books. There’s always a bit of sadness when a beloved book series ends, and while I felt that sense of impending loss going into reading this book I wound up coming out of it with a renewed sense of joy and excitement. So many things make this book a perfect series finale. Kingsley brought so much more clarity to many of her characters, most of all the silently stoic Levi Bailey and enigmatic Annika Haven, but also to Annika’s band of overprotective brothers, doting parents, and adorable son. The interconnected relationships built beautifully through the words and actions of the characters, leading to a climax and conclusion steeped in intrigue, suspense, and excitement.Kingsley never ever disappoints in thesteam department, and this was no exception. I wasn’t quite sure what I was expecting from Levi Bailey going into this book, as a character or a book boyfriend, but Kingsley blew any expectations I did have out of the water.Another beautiful thing about this story is how Kingsley interweaves homages to her other series and brings the reader back to the joys of Jetty Beach and Salishan Winery through the journey of Levi and Annika. And her nod to one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays had my English Teacher brain squealing and sighing in delight (yes, it’s more than just nicknames and THIS story has a pretty epic HEA).Readers who have followed the entire series will appreciate the pranks and everlasting loyalty of the Bailey brothers, love being immersed in the bonds of kinship and friendship, and will revel in the strong independent women who are always capable of seeing the bigger picture and helping everyone else see it with full focus and clarity.Rewriting the Stars was a story worth waiting for. I have no doubt it is one I will reread often, savoring and reliving the emotions, humor, and adventure inherent in a small town overrun with scheming squirrels, feuding families, and characters who continue to surprise and entertain me in the best possible ways.

Nobody finishes a series like Claire Kingsley. This was perfection! My heart is so full.
The anticipation of this release, combined with the big feels for the rest of the series had me prepared. I knew how I would feel. Obviously, I was wrong. Wow. I am in awe. This novel was even better than I could have imagined. That was everything. It was sweet, funny, steamy, swoony, hot, clever, touching, nostalgic, wise, exciting, loving, complete, and utterly amazing. I have never had this much anticipation for a book release, and it blew everything I expected it to be out of the water.By the time this book begins, the town is ready to boil over. What had always been pranks and moderate hostility between the Baileys and Havens had escalated to the next level. Our Hero, Levi Bailey, was not in a good place. The most important calming factor in his world was the girl with whom he exchanged text messages in secret, the lone sister in the rival family, single mom Annika Haven. I love them. The way they made each other come alive and took care of the other before even talking in person was the sweetest. After the first “meeting,” I was smitten. Every wink, glance, small smile. Swoon. My heart! Those Bailey boys are as loyal as they come. Once Levi was in, he was all in, despite the repercussions. Love really was what mattered the most. It was so unbelievably perfect. There are so many little nuggets of Bailey Brother humor, heart, fun, and soul in this novel. Little pieces from the other books make an appearance in this story and prove that Claire Kingsley is a master storyteller. The way she interconnects stories and characters is next level good. Your questions from the series will be answered. You will love the way everything comes together. You will even start to like the Havens, (insert gasp here), and crave their stories. This is the perfect conclusion.Rewriting the Stars is Book 6 in The Bailey Brothers Series. The books are meant to be read in order. If you haven’t read the others, do yourself a favor and visit the feuding town of Tilikum. Start with Protecting You, end with Rewriting the Stars, and read every word in between. This series is everything smalltown contemporary romance should be!Thank you Claire Kingsley for sharing that beautiful, creative mind with us. We are so lucky to have experienced this story and this series. My heart is so full.

great end to the series
You know when your really looking forward to a book and it comes, out then your scared to read it in case it doesn’t live up to your expectations? Boy, did this book like up to my expectations! Levi and Annika have liked each other since high school, but their families having feuding for as long as anyone can remember. Annika moved away for college and comes back with her young son. Levi really just wants to check that she is ok. This turns in to them talking by text regularly with no one else knowing about it. But texting isn’t enough and turns in to phone calls and then one night a stolen kiss. After the kiss they both realise that they need to see where this relationship is going and it’s going all the way to love! Of course when everyone finds out about them everything blows up, but in true Tilikum fashion the women are there to help sort it all out. The mystery that has been running throughout the series comes to a head causing lots of distress, but is finally solved! I loved the connection between Annika and Levi, but also loved the connection with little Tommy and between Levi and Logan. Levi is fiercely loyal, hot and determined. Annika is loyal, sweet and the peacekeeper. This book made me tear up, laugh out loud and smile and was the epilogues provided the perfect end to the series. I can’t wait for the Haven series!

Feuding families, Treasure Hunts, Sneaky Squirrels and Hot Blooded Testosterone… yes please!
**This is book 6 of The Bailey Brothers series! DO NOT… I repeat… DO NOT jump straight in here. You MUST read the previous books in the series first because you need to know the dynamics of this incredible family. I would also strongly urge you to read The Miles Family series and Jetty Beach as they feature throughout this series too. I promise you, you will not regret it.Ok… I see now why Kingsley left the gorgeously brooding Levi Bailey until last. His story is definitely the crowning glory to bring this series to a close and also unite the town of Tilikum.Levi has always been the sensible and measured Bailey brother, unlike his wild twin brother Logan. He’s fiercely protective of everyone in his family and loyal to a fault… but when his heart desires the one person that is off limits, he is torn between following his heart or staying true to the feud. For years he has been secretly conversing with the youngest sister of the ‘enemy’… the beautiful, caring, single mum, Annika Haven. Just as Romeo and Juliet, their love is forbidden. To follow their hearts would mean betraying their family. The Haven’s and the Bailey’s have a centuries worth of mutual hatred. No one knows why the families are at war, but each generation has continued the legacy. But it doesn’t just stop at the families themselves. The Bailey/Haven feud splits the entire town. With very few mutual businesses and services, loyalty to one side or the other is the wedge that keeps the town divided. As much as they try to keep their relationship to just texting and the occasional phone call, they cannot deny the strong feelings they have for each other. And when Levi helps Annika’s son, Thomas who gets lost in a big hardware store - a spark is ignited. A spark that could start an inferno… an inferno that could leave the town burning to ash.The love between these two is tangible. You can feel it leaping off the page. And the bond that quickly builds between Levi and Thomas absolutely melts your heart. It’s heartwarming and leaves you feeling all kinds of fuzzy inside. But their love can’t stay hidden for long. With only Levi’s twin, Logan and Annika’s best friends Mari and Isabelle in the know, sneaking around and stealing time together is difficult and dangerous. They know it can’t continue as a secret for much longer but the consequences of coming clean could be huge. You know it’s going to happen… it’s bound to, and when it does the reaction of both families is predictable. It’s not quite pistols at dawn carnage, but it certainly flares the bad blood. However, I hugely admire Annika and Levi because they fight for what they want with such passion and determination, you know that eventually the brothers on both sides will come around. Especially when the Bailey wives join forces and enforce their “no sex until you accept them” ruling. Brilliant tactics ladies!! I’m proud of you!So what about the treasure. A myth, a legend of the Montgomery Treasure has been rumbling on through the series. Old man Harvey Johnson is convinced to the point of obsession that the treasure is out there and as clues start to emerge, the treasure seems like it could be real. But the last clue talks of the feud being the key to unlocking the fortune. The trouble is that recently the ‘pranks’ that used to feed the feuds flames are turning dangerous… deadly almost. With either side blaming the other, the feud looks to be getting out of hand. But could someone else be fanning the flames to keep the families at war? And for what purpose? The conclusion to this incredible series is just fabulous. And the epilogue and extended epilogue that’s available to download is absolutely awesome. And can I just say… Gram… I love her. She’s just everything a grandmother should be.I cannot recommend Claire Kingsley’s books enough. Every single one of her books and her series are amazing. I’m sad that I’ve reached the end of the Bailey brothers but I’m thrilled that The Haven’s are getting their own series too. I cannot wait for that!!Well done, Claire. You have truly worked your magic again. Levi is everything I hoped he’d be and you made this last book a joy to read by bringing everything, and everyone together. I want to live in Tilikum!! I wish it were a real place and these were real people because I have lived their lives with them. I love them as I would real friends. I’ve hurt for them, laughed with them (or at them… Gavin!!), and I’ve cried for them. This book, this series… truly exceptional. Thank you.

Feud was a prank
A nice ending to the series, this book talks about jetty beach (it's another series set in the same world 3 hours away) so I'm off to read that.I had to wait for this last book to be released so I read the miles series (but should of read that series first because they are in this series visiting grace,so I had spoilers of there love interests and kids) you can guess how it will turn out but still fun getting there. I'm not sure if there will be more books it felt like the end, but the havens are all single and the feud small town now is just a sweet family small town who likes to prank.still would be fun to continue and see friendships grow the town was divided before it would be fun to see them going in each other's shops now and getting to hang out with others.

Amazing! Perfect ending to this series.
Perfection! Claire has created another master piece and Levi and Annika story was the perfect ending to the Bailey Brothers series. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.Levi and Annika are from rival families, families that like to prank each other and they know even just being friends is going to cause problems! But friends is not enough for these two Levi and Annika are all in and now comes the small matter of telling their families!I absolutely adored Levi, Annika and not forgetting Thomas and his Fire Truck......I'm sad to see the Bailey Brothers series end but looking forward to the Haven series!

Fate intervenes!
Levi Bailey and Annika Haven are like Romeo and Juliet, coming from families that hate each other. Becoming friends in high school they kept their friendship secret, losing touch when Annika went to college and then reconnecting when she comes home as a single mum. Will the fued escalate if their families find out they are together or will the fued finally be over? When things happen that could make the fued worse, can the love Levi and Annika have be torn apart? This was such a great read with laughter, suspense, intrigue and hot chemistry. I fell in love with Levi and Annika as they found a way to be together and love hard
