I use these bags for handmade bath soaks that I fill to the brim with crystals on top. These bags seal completely and stay sealed, even through shipping. Great quality, sturdy bags

The bags were smaller than I expected, but they do the job that it's designed for. The bags are durable and what's great about them is that they can be sealed. Unfortunately, due to the size, I am unable to use them for my original purpose. Instead I use them to store snacks that my kids can grab and go.

I bake a lot of treats for people I know, so I thought these bags would be perfect for me to give away small food items in. I did not realize how small and flat the bags are! There is no "gusset" so the bags really don't expand at all, they're just flat! It will be difficult to fit more than 2 or 3 traditional round medium sized cookies in one of these, so I'm a little disappointed. For reference I purchased the 5.1" x 8.8" size.There's some glue on the bottom of the bags at the corners that you can pop apart that may give a little extra expansion (see photo), but otherwise don't expect these to hold much. They seem like nice good quality bags other than the issue of their capacity/shape.Also, it would have been nice if the bag they packaged these in was resealable in some way. Now I have a stack of these bags that are just loose in my closet because all the other storage containers I have purchased for food items come with better exterior packaging.I don't know if I'll be able to use these bags for the purpose I got them for, but I suppose they are a nice replacement for plastic resealable ziploc bags. I will say that the zipper closure is very wide and sturdy, so I have no doubt that they are airtight as indicated in the product description.

These bags are listed in metric units first. So make sure you get a size you want.The bags are made primarily of plastic, with kraft paper on the outside giving it a more natural look. I measured the plastic window as 6 mil. With a Wallaby impulse sealer I used a setting of 6 which is comparable to mylar. Lower settings were not sufficient to create a seal. The seal is very tight. The bag becomes airtight.There are gussets on the bottom corners. You can pull the two halves apart from the bottom, but it is easier to expand it to stand from the inside. This provides ample space in the third dimension and readies it for display. For the smaller bags use a funnel of some sort to fill it.I froze the bags since I placed dumplings (frozen individually first) in them. I wrote on the back with a permanent marker. The bag and writing handled the temperature just fine.The plastic and the bag can be punctured with something sharp enough. So if using for frozen food ensure there are no sharp edges. It can easily handle nuts. 6 mil is a plenty good thickness for the time range most people would use these for (less than 1 year). The plastic zipper easily opens and closes, and it will in most likelihoods exceed the use time of the bag.In conclusion, these are great impulse sealable bags with a great look, and food safe for distribution or for yourself. Currently $0.30 per bag for the 13 x 22.5 cm size, it's can be a great investment depending on what you're using them for.

Good bags for many things such as small snacks or miscellaneous small parts

I use these bags for gifting smoked trail mix and jerky to friend and family. They work great!

I’ve been using these to keep snacks fresh that I open but don’t finish and they are perfect for that. They are so sturdy and stand upright in my lazy Susan snack organizer for easy viewing. These are going to last forever because I’ve had these for a couple of months and am still using the same 3 bags! I put unfinished candy bars, granola bars, peanut butter crackers, etc. Since those items are open but still in their wrappers we just reuse the same bags. The best part of these for us is that they don’t flop over like a ziplock bag but are sturdy and upright - so they are easy to see, store and grab from our pantry.

This was a great purchase. So I guess I didn't really pay attention to the dimensions so I was pleasantly pleased by the large size when I received the package. If you are hesitating on purchasing these bags DON'T! They are good quality storage bags. I like that there is a little window so you can see the contents. I had a little difficulty opening the first one but then you get the hang of it. The bags seal well and they also stand up well when it's full. Man, the uses are endless and best of all: you can store both solids and liquids! These neat little bags are perfect for gifting homemade goods: cookies, brownies, you name it or beauty products like bath salts. I even discovered you can personalize them by writing with a sharpie or decorating them with stickers. These are seriously the best set of storage bags I've purchased in a long time. I can store homemade dog treats, dog food, dry beans for our overflow pantry, rice, and cereal. You can bag coffee, your spices or just use them for your snacks. They are just all around great storage bags.
