Well made and fully functional.
These American made shears are constructed well, look good and perform their function just as they should. Recommended for moderate hedge work and limb trimming.

Fine but pretty routine
These clippers work just fine but they are pretty much run-of-the-mill. I'll keep them but was looking for something a little more "professional".

Just trimming bushes and it cuts perfectly

Good all-purpose clippers
The clippers are carbon Steel with an anti-Rust coating. The carbon steel provides exceptional durability and edge retention. However, the tool will rust if stored in a wet area. Maintenance is easy and periodic use of WD-40 or tool oil/lubricant will maintain the anti-rust coating, increasing the tool life. The notable thing about these clippers is the anti-shock bumpers below the hinge. This reduces fatigue while using the tool and would be suitable for someone with arthritis or difficulty in physically using certain tools. I am unsure of the type of high-carbon steel, but it seems like SK-5, an extremely tough steel with great impact resistance and average corrosion resistance. However, while the edge retention and toughness are considered high, it can be a challenge to re-sharpen the blades if it gets dull. Recommend taking to a place that sharpens lawnmower blades and they have the necessary tools to reflectively sharpen the blades. The steel in the clippers is hard and is likely above 60 on the Rockwell Hardness Scale (HRC)Trimmed the hedges using the clippers. Good smooth action. Handles are comfortable. Blades are sharp. Great for detail trimming. The waved design on the blades allows for different angles of cuts and trims. This is a handy tool to have for any home garden.

Heavy, easy to use and effective but with a catch in the blades
These are sturdy, heavy and powerful shears. Using any clippers of this design for a prolonged period of time can be tiring and hard on the shoulders because it's always a jarring kind of cut. But the weight of these clippers (along with sharp blades, obviously) actually helps to minimize that jolt since you're not having to compensate each cut with massive amounts of power, as you do with lightweight or cheaply made shears. The rubber stoppers help with that, too. They have solid wood handles that are easy to grip and carbon steel blades with a good design. They work well enough but with my pair there is a kind of catch in the blades as they come together. It's not smooth. It's irritating and makes me wonder if this will cause long term problems. But so far, I'm overall impressed.

Beautiful tool, works well, not a “beater” tool
These are beautiful hedge shears. Very aesthetic. It has solid, comfortable wood handles with a smooth finish. I really like the subtle branding. And there’s a nice ferrule to protect the wood and prevent splitting. All wood handles require some maintenance, and I am glad that there is not a very thick layer of lacquer or varnish over the wood. This allows me to oil my wood periodically to help reduce cracking and shrinkage (this has happened to all of my wooden handled tools over the years regardless of price or quality). It also has small rubber bumpers to soften the blow when you snap the handles together while shearing. Good cutting action and sharpness right out of the box. I really like that there’s adjustable tension between the blades to fine tune the cut. Also, the wavy edges of the blade do seem to catch sturdier twigs and prevent them from sliding outwards making for easier cutting. I haven’t had to sharpen mine yet, but hopefully, the shape shouldn’t be a problem (this may depend on the sharpening method you use - rod vs stone vs belt). Nicely packaged, makes a great gift. Overall for $41, it’s reasonably priced. I think you’re paying a little bit more for the aesthetics. If you want to maximum durability for a beater tool, consider something like a Fiskars or Corona. But I’m pretty happy. 4.5 stars.

decent
An average quality set of shears. Similar to what you'll find in any store.I don't have any complaints really. This is not a premium product though. Not that it should be, but the naming, appearance and price could lead potential buyers to an incorrect conclusion.
