Keyboard nice to use, but not quiet
This keyboard is very light and has the same dimensions and almost the same key layout as the UK keyboard on my laptop (minus the numeric pad). Some of the keys on my laptop keyboard are failing to respond reliably so I bought this as an alternative.Initially, this USB keyboard wasn't recognised until I'd already logged in with the laptop keyboard. It was due to a BIOS setting for quick startup which ignored external devices. I disabled that setting and can now login and also enter the BIOS before that using the USB keyboard. It was good to discover that issue before the original keyboard fails completely.I find that the white letters on black keys are easy to read and I don't need the backlighting when there is good daylight or artificial light. The backlighting defaults to the brightest of 4 levels each time the computer is booted or the keyboard is plugged in. The backlighting level can be reduced or turned off by holding the Fn key down and pressing the F2 key the requisite number of times. It's advertised as being quiet but it's just averagely loud. The other function keys have a secondary function (e.g. Print Screen, Volume +-) as expected. As an alternative to pressing the Fn key each time to access the secondary function, there is a function lock enabled by Fn + F1.I've mainly used the keyboard with Linux Mint on my laptop. It also works fine with a Raspberry Pi 4 running RPi OS, apart from Print Screen and other secondary functions but that's a software issue rather than a keyboard issue. It's a nice design and if it lasts as expected will be good value for money.

Lo recomiendo!
He estado buscando un buen teclado pequeño durante mucho tiempo.Aunque es de tamaño pequeño, permanece en su lugar cuando escribe.El precio es aceptable.

Good Solid quality keyboard - Backlight should be brighter
Good solid keyboard with great 'mechanical' feedback from the keys. Do have to press it with confidence therefore no accidental presses. Great tactility and functionality on the shortened layout. It is susceptible to fingerprints, but keys marked very clearly.Backlighting is very poor though, expected much brighter like other keyboards at a cheaper price point.

Great for poorly lit rooms.
Before I bought this, I was considering buying a USB LED light; but I did not want to add clutter to my desktop. This keyboard is excellent for typing in poor light; it certainly avoids a lot of eyestrain. I find I can type fairly fast on this with minimal errors, unlike the cheap Logitech one that preceded it. If you do not input numbers on a regular basis, then you will not miss having no number pad. Unlike my mouse light, which does not extinguish when the computer is switched off, the keyboard backlight does. As keyboards go, this one feels quite weighty, in contrast to the Logitech. Highly recommended.

Always great quality items from Perixx
I have a number of Perixx products over many years and they all still work as new. This wired keyboard is for booting my PC into the BIOS. Can't do it with a wireless keyboard. Light and very compact it's exactly what I needed with the quality you'd expect from Perixx. The PC recognises it as a UK board and goes into the BIOS when needed. Lovely quality key action and should last for years. Recommended.
