Easy to play system that provides a solo adventure. Easy to take away and use where ever you travel.

I am a parent of a heavily autistic son who's wanted for ages to get into 'dad's games' and he's always been left on the sidelines, most solitaire wargames, or wargames in general are big heavily worded books catered for adutls etc and that have put him off, and as such made him feel isolated in a hobby he really wants to get into. So Thank You Mike for a book that he's been able to grasp and take to well, in fact we've had a rare few hours of quality farther son time out of it, so thank you again. Keep up the good work

I have all four books in this series and for me this one is the best.Mike's books are not for the hard core, must be realistic type of wargamer. The rules are easy to grasp and fairly abstract, but do provide a excellent diversion for an hour or so and given the random elements full of replayability.The earlier books do have a progression from easy to hard , with the number of tactical choices increasing as you progress. However in this volume, you are pitched into scenarios with a wealth of choices - and pitfalls.My own feeling is that this book is the most atmospheric and has a real feeling of tension as you creep towards victory.I highly recommend this book (and series) and look forward to what Mike released next....oh did I mention there is also a section on diy scenarios
