Nice light for my 20 gallon AIO planted aquarium
I have not gone through the timer set up yet as I have a smart plug. But the brightness and program-ability are very nice. I like the auto settings, especially the "Cloudy" setting which I turn on in the evening for awhile before the light goes off, then it is also on when it comes on in the morning so it is almost the same as a morning setting. Then mid morning I turn on the max and adjust the color for the middle of the day making sure my plants get plenty of light. I love the ability to reduce each of the colors as needed. My plants are growing nicely and my fish colors are vibrant.

Great light at a very reasonable price
For the price, I can't complain. It has a great color spectrum, it's easily customizable and when there is a power loss, it retains all color and phase (sunrise, sunset, night) settings. My only grief is that a power loss, no matter how brief, means the time resets to 12:00am. To illustrate, if the power loss happens at 10am, and comes back at 10:02am, now the aquarium won't light up till 5pm (assuming lights were programmed to turn on at 7am). This is not the only timer equipped light in the market with this problem. in fact, all lights in the market (except the fancy bluetooth or wifi connected ones) have this issue. Why can't they give you the option to install a small watch battery to keep time memory! I would gladly spend 2 bucks every year and replace the battery.Yes, you can get a wifi smart plugs, have an Alexa routine, etc. But then, you lose all the sunrise, sunset, night light changing automation. Plus, most wifi plugs I know don't retain memory either in the event of a power loss, so what's the point!Tip: I'm not an experienced fish keeper. The lights, as factory programmed, are very intense. Probably not a huge issue if you dose CO2 but I had to dim everything to 50% to keep my tank from constantly having algae blooms. This is adequate for my 16 gallon Fluval Spec, which houses Amazon Swords, Anubias, Java Moss, Java Fern, Anacharis, Ludwigias, etc. These are plans that do OK with moderate to low lights.I'll close this review with "please, include the option to insert a battery to keep the time" - don't even include the battery! Make the product $10 bucks more expensive! I guarantee you, people will be thankful for it!

They grow plants really good.
18-24 length and 48-60This light really isn't bad at all and the IR control can be used to control multiple lights at the same time by using a IR repeater. You could also use any learning IR remote to make a spare more powerful remote. So the bug I found is if you set the ramp time to 15 or 30 the end time ramps down the previous light phase and ramps up the current one from 0 which gives a nice transition from one phase to another, however if you stop the 24/7 cycle while it's doing this it cancels the prior phase ramp down and just goes to the current phases ramp up. Not a huge deal but if you click the max button while it's doing this it messes it up.Maybe for version 3 they could make the module further from the light and maybe add a 3.5mm jack for a IR receiver extension so the module could be hidden behind the tank.So it's kind of like a finnex 24/7 but with a actual clock you can set.The IR reciever/controller module is a bit too close the the light as others have mentioned.

Puts out more light/lumens/watts than the NICREW C10 24/7 LED Aquarium Light
The RGB+W 24/7 Aquarium Light puts out more light/lumens at a higher wattage than the C10 24/7.The timer & remote functions can be a bit overwhelming, depending on your comfort with customizing such things, but this will provide good light output for plant growth (with CO2) if that's your objective.Note: Don't neglect ferts, number of light hrs, how heavily planted, amount of feeding, etc. if you want to prevent algae.
