I was careful when choosing an automatic gate opener to read reviews on all of them I could find and I also checked replacement parts costs and availability. TOPENS seemed to stand out above the rest of the Chinese-made products. They are more expensive than other imported units but much less costly than the units supplied by USA companies. After receiving and installing the product I feel that I did make the right choice. TOPENS has been building these since 1998. When a company builds a product for that length of time a lot of experience is gained which helps a company determine what features are needed and what weak points need to be re-engineered. I am pleased with my choice. Instructions are very clear and well written in English. The product has all of the features I was looking for and has many accessories readily available through the company's Amazon store. Our gate serves four homes and gets a lot of use. We are in an area will little direct sunlight, especially in the winter. I did not use the small 20watt panels that came with the system for that reason. Instead, I purchased separately from another supplier two 100-watt panels and a separate charge controller and I increased the recommended battery capacity by using two 20AH AGM type 12V batteries to combine into the 24V required system. Research I did indicated that panels will produce about 10% of their rated output with daylight only, little or no direct sunlight. With that information, I determined that panels with a rating of 200 watts in our location should provide just about the 20 watts that the mfg. supplied panels would provide in direct sunlight. Testing after installation seems to indicate that 10% of rated output without direct sunlight, daylight only, is correct. The system has been in use for just over a week now and has so far has worked flawlessly with 20 or more openings and closings on an average day. Batteries are staying topped off and power draw on the batteries is minimal during use measuring about 2 amps to start the movement and just over 1.5 amps to run during the few seconds it takes to open or close the gate. The only suggestion I have for TOPENS is to have spare manual release keys available in their Amazon store separately from the hardware kit currently required for purchase if you want to get extras at this time. I wanted each of the four households to have a manual release key. The kit comes with 2 keys which is probably enough for most installations, but not ours. I did contact support and they worked out getting more keys to me without the need to purchase additional hardware kits that I did not need. They were easy to work with and I appreciated their understanding of my special requirements.

We use Topens swing gate arms to allow authorized guest access to our property via a 7ft tall and 12 ft wide steel estate gate. It is part of our first level of home security. When one of our Topens gate arms stopped working as expected, our first level of security was weakened. But, due to effective communication and direction from Shelly, our Topens customer support contact, the issue was immediately identified and resolved within a few days. Shelly had the new part (limit switch) mailed overnight and provided installation instructions. After my husband installed the new part our Topens arm started working as expected. My husband and I installed the heavy duty dual gate opener on two chain-link gates. We plan to come back and redo the gates at a later time but wanted to have something that would adapt to what we have now and then what we get later. We did have to buy 2 batteries and my husband bought a water proof box to put them in. It did take him sometime getting everything wired up but he has that background from work so he understood the instructions just fine. Everything was delivered in timely manner and my husband spent two days putting in the auto sensor and also the wireless keypad along with installing the dual arm gate openers. The moment of truth came and we pushed the buttons to open and close the gate and only one side was working. We went through all the troubleshooting to no avail. I reached out by email to customer service with Topans and because of the time difference I didn’t receive an email until the next day. I worked with a representative named Chelesy Who was extremely helpful and offered many options throughout our encounters. There were some speed bumps along the way which did take a couple weeks to get resolved. Nothing on Topans side. It mostly came down to the shipping situation that we are experiencing in this country right now. But eventually we did get a replacement and my husband installed the new arm and everything is working fabulously. There was never a moment that their customer service department was not willing to help us or offer compensation it was just a matter of timing. So I have absolutely no complaints in regards to their product or their customer service. I am hoping that we have many many years of use out of this product. So far after just two weeks it has been wonderful to open and close my gate from my car. We are very very satisfied with this. We read all the reviews on other products and we decided on this one not only because it had good reviews but its pricing was more affordable. I really appreciate the customer service that we received with Topans. We highly recommend this Gate system.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased the Topens dual gate openers. After working out a couple glitches with installation it has worked fine, even in our current single digit Temps. Customer service has been most helpful via email.

Excellent customer support, Chelsey at TOPENS, easily figure out the installer (me) reverse the polarity on the battery cables feeding the UPS-01 box. Gate opener operates quietly and smoothly. Highly recommend TOPENS.

It's a wast of moneyOpeners do not close all the way and any random person can push the gate just enough to get pass the gat.
