Another fine collection by this author
I really get into these tales by this author so much during the cold weather that I have a bit of brandy by my side as I read them.

Another great collection.
One again, MX Publishing puts out more quality Sherlock Holmes stories. The tone of Conan Doyle is present in these stories as Holmes finds answers to his intriguing problems. This is another great volume to add to your Holmes collection.

An enjoyable read.
A good collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories. Well written, in the canon with authentic period detail. The only criticism is that, for me, it lacked the authentic interaction and dialogue between Doyle.s Holmes and Watson This made the characters of Holmes and Watson a bit flat. Holmes is known for his impatience, sacastic comments and dry wit. This was sadly missing and affected the whole book throughout for me. Holmes was all business ,only dialogues related to the case and very dour. But thats just a personal opinion. However ,Mr.Smith is clearly someone who knows his Doyle and cares about what he writes. I would certainly read his books again. All considered, this is an enjoyable book, and any Sherlockian would love it. Of good quality, not to be compared to many of the pastiches abounding with Martians, Vampires and Holmes either in love or with a Son or Daughter. None of which are in the canon or Sherlock Holmes at all. I enjoyed it very much.
