Can Not be Armed Without Reworking Release Mechanism
This same trap is reviewed elsewhere on Amazon with the concern that the plastic trigger platform has insufficient friction with the metal arm that holds down the killing bar. Out of 2 traps out of 8 were able to be armed without reworking with needle nose pliers and file. I've been using Victor traps for many decades and there is not doubt there has been a decline in quality. Very uneven performance over the past 10 years or so. Typical for manufacturing that has shifted overseas. To avoid frustration I suggest either using the metal bait platform traps or a different design.Note, after 50 minutes of work with needle nose pliers and a small file I was able to get only one of the six faulty traps to stay armed. So I got 3 working traps out of the order of 8. I still have a few older traps (6-8 years old) of this design. Some of these I had to fine tune but they do work so I'm confident this is not a question of technique but one of quality control in manufacture.

These traps don't work
The traps either won't stay set or will stay set to well and the mouse can get the bait without setting it off. Horrible design
