Q: Can it work on the metal loft bunk beds?

My son used it on a metal loft bed at college last year. He's now in an apartment and using it on the wooden arm of his futon. It seems to be fairly flexible in uses.

Q: What is the dimensions of this?

I'm not near it to measure but I'd say about 4 or 5" x 8". Not big at all, basically we have it just to hold a clock radio/ipod dock & it's perfect for that. Looks like that picture has a regular sized highlighter on it, I'd guess that the width is about the length of that highlighter as well. Don't get it if you want to hold too much on it.

Q: Does anyone know how much weight it supports?

I don't know how much weight this shelf WOULD potentially support, but it is constructed in a very sturdy way. My son used it on his loft bed in a college dorm, and is now using it on the side of his futon. He had his clock and phone on it, and most recently a water bottle at times. It's a very handy device if you don't have room for a bedside table or end table. Hope this helps.

Q: Will this clip onto both left and ride sides of your bed? Like can you reverse the tray based on which side youd like to put it on?

Yes, it will. It's very study. My son used it in college and it held his clock and phone easily.
