Quality cast tee
Needed this hard to find fitting and was able to get it quickly shipped.The part itself appears to be well made and fits on the copper pipe very well. The female threaded port is well formed and my gauge fits as it should.I would definitely purchase this part again if needed.

Just as described, bought the to use for installing expansion tanks and the work great. Price and shipping was also very good.

Tee is NOT "No Stop" - BUT --
This Tee will allow connecting 1/2 inch nominal (actual 5/8 inch OD) Copper pipe for a ice maker. The branch 3/4 inch NPT female thread allows use of a 3/4 x 1/2 inch NPT brass bushing with a adapter fitting 1/2 inch MIP male thread X 1/4 inch COMPRESSION fitting for 1/4 inch tubing. Adapter fitting may be of type with or without valve when also installing a valve in 1/4 inch tube above craw space. Much better than using a hidden"saddle valve". BUT - It is NOT "no stop" which would allow the 1/2 inch pipe to slide completely thru when installing in old work. When old work does not have enough pipe movement - separation to allow installation, the use of a additional "no stop" coupling can be used to allow a few inches of installation space. It will just require additional soldering.

I needed this for a hot water expansion tank that has a stainless steel threaded nipple.
This fitting didn't come up immediately when searching Amazon, but I was happy when it did. I guess I believe that it is lead free. The solder cups were a little big, but they are chamfered to help create a solder bead--which is helpful. This was difficult to solder, but that may be inherent in sweating copper to brass, I think. Clean the cups well. I cut the handle off of an inside wire pipe brush and checked it into a drill.This fitting is what you need to attach the following expansion tank to copper: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001B1JHHO

ID a bit large for proper solder capillary
Internal dimension was a little too large for the copper, not a snug fit, and therefore capillary action of the solder was poor. Made it work, and okay considering the price.
