Yes, I believe it is. The eggs are for children to play with.

The eggs are excellent but the carton is just like a regular egg carton so it has fallen apart

I bought these for my 20 month old granddaughter at Christmas to use in her "play kitchen". She loves them! Her siblings (4 & 6) play with them as well.
