Common Core Mathematics for Grade 5

I bought this brand of books for the students I tutor. I love how this book has a lesson plan, a quick verbal (or you could write it down) pre and post assessment. I love how it has three different levels and then word problems!!! Sometimes my students understand a concept, so we can start on level two and work up. Other times she really struggles, so we start on level one. I like how level one has more pictures, giving half the answer, basically more support and with each level, there's less support. I also like it because I can work on level two with my student and then give her level one as homework to do independently! It's so nice that I don't have to look for more worksheets. I've bought the Spectrum math books, but I prefer these.

This book was not in good condition. It has markings and writing all throughout the book. I am highly disappointed that this would have even been allowed for sale on the marketplace. As an educator, I have tried to erase every single marking on the pages so that I can give my students the opportunity to use this resource. I am loosing much valuable time trying to erase all of this writing. The fractions section is absolutely horrible, there is markings on every single page and almost every single problem. This has been a waste of money and I now have to purchase this book all over again. This is exactly why I hate buying used textbooks.

Wonderful book! I love that it is already leveled for students, starting with very basic ideas including diagrams working to word problems in the end. I misplaced the book between school years and bought it again because I used it so much. Perfect addition to any math teacher's collection as it is written per grade level.

I pick some of these problems and use them as bell ringers for math. They are perfect! The problems are differentiated, so I can use them at the beginning or end of lessons depending on how deeply we have gotten into that concept.

Love this! So helpful for resources for my 5th grade class in Georgia.

Great step by step & really seems to be on par with my Son's class work. Getting 6th grade book !
