Megabass PopMax Topwater Fishing Lure

Anyone who has used the popmax and caught a fish on it usually ends up making it their go to topwater. The overall balance and ease of use is amazing. This is my third one of this color because the fish pretty much trashed the first two. If there was anything i could tell someone from personal experience it would be as follows,1 before you fish with this, buy some clear nail polish and paint the threads at the windings on the feather hook2 while the polish is out, put a dot over the eyes to help seal them on body.The old megabass popx and popmax from the 90s and early 2000s were much better quality and many of my originals still have both eyes and most feathers without doing this. The last few years i found it quite common to lose one, or both eyes and have the feather trailer falling apart after the first day of 10 or so fish. No biggy, but you can make it last longer with a little nail polish on and dry before using.

I’m fairly new to fishing and I went a little crazy buying a bunch of different lures. My husband and I went fishing last week and he was catching fish pretty quickly but they were all pretty small. I tied in this lure and I caught 3 bass that were all at least 4 lbs. My husband was even impressed as he said it usually takes people a while to master using a popper. I eventually lost the lure and I tried using other poppers and they were no where close to as good at this one. It was very easy to make it pop and the pop was loud enough to annoy the bass and bring them to it. I will definitely invest in another one!!

This thing is a killer. One of the best poppers I have used. it kills the smallies. Great action! The fish hammer this bait. I fish it just like a spook. Walk the dog, get it to dance and pop and they cant resist.

Favorite way to catch fish and on a medium-heavy rod I never miss. Worth the money bought 6 and buying another 6.
