I am the owner of an archery range, Highwind Archery, in Long Island New York. I'm always looking for new affordable, quality targets for use in the range. This target is a pretty standard square EVA foam target, approximately 4in thick, very firm. The package you get is nice, the price is comparable to other EVA targets of this size and thickness, but you also get the arm guard and 5 high quality vinyl decal like target faces, with a very nice design. I very much appreciate the target face, with NASP like scoring rings. Most targets you get will be completely blank, or have non descript target shapes, which isn't great for most people who are shooting at NASP scoring rings. Additionally, the dragon design is nice looking and allows for more specific targets for people to shoot such as the eyes, claws, tail etcetera. It will also be entertaining for younger shooters, and eye catching for adult archers.The target itself is large, firm and thick. It does not do much self healing, as the holes remain after the arrows are pulled, but it is a dense target, so even without the self healing it should have quite a lot of life in it, and with 5 target faces, the holes will be covered the majority of the time. It's lightweight and easy to move around, allowing for versatile target placement.The target faces have a high quality dragon print on it, weaving through scoring rings similar to the NASP standard. This allows shooters the ability to shoot standard archery rounds scoring like NASP, while also having the option to play games involving the dragon print. As someone who regularly teaches youth, I always appreciate having more options to wave into my lessons.The arm guard is your standard, large sized, plastic/pleather woodland print arm guard. Larger and higher quality then some other ones I have received bundled with other archery products. I appreciate that it has side release buckles on it, with a nylon strap making it both adjustable, and easy to remove.Most of my testing of this target was done with 18lb Bear Crusader, 35lb Bear Firebird, and 20lb Genesis Compound bow with 30in carbon fiber arrows.Pros:AffordableDurableGreat for youth archeryBundled with multiple high quality adhesive target facesBundled with decent sized arm guard with bucklesNASP-like scoring rings on target facesThick 4in foamLightweight, very easy to grab and go if doing archery outdoors.Arm guard is higher quality then a lot of the bundled arm guards I've received with other archery products.Easy penetration, while it can be seen as a con if using a high powered bow, it's a plus for low powered, youth archery. Young archers sometimes have trouble piercing bag targets, so this EVA target is ideal for young shooters.Holds together well. I did not see any crumbling, or chunks popping off of the target even after repeated shots to the same area.Cons:It can be hard to remove the arrows once they are shot into the target, particularly with higher draw weight bows. The target grips the shaft tightly, making removing arrows difficult. This is less of a problem for low draw weight bows that don't penetrate as deeply.Arrows shot from the 20lb+ bows did penetrate the foam a few inches when shot from 6 yards. It will stop arrows from higher pound bows, but at short range can penetrate. Even so, the arrows will not pass through.Lack of a handle or way to hang the target. You will need a stand to put the target on.Limited self healing.

It does a decent job at stopping arrows. I ended up mounting this on a plywood frame to help stabilize the target. This isn't a self-healing target, but the foam does close up a bit after you remove your arrows.I tested this with my recurve bows (40lb) at 30 yards. As I haven’t tried this type of target before, I was a bit concerned that the target may not have enough material to fully stop the arrow. I was eager to see how deep my shots would penetrate into the target. They went in about half way and were stopped by the friction of the target. But that was much more than I was hoping. If you are shooting closer, at say 10 - 20 yards. I can see that it may not have the ability to stop an arrow completely.I was unable to locate any warranty either in the product information or item description.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All in all, this target does have the ability to stop arrows. It is lighter weight target and easy to setup. The price point is it provides decent stopping power with portability. The question is would I get this again. I would not because I just don’t see it being a reusable long enough and it does not have the stopping power I need for my main bow. However, you could supplement it with additional material to improve its stopping ability. It also comes with an arm guard as a bonus. Hope this information was helpful. I got this yiikii Archery Target with Archery Arm Guard in recently and it’s a great set, comes with everything your need and it’s exactly as described.First off this is a great set for archery and will work great with arrows but I got this as a practice target for throwing knifes and it’s perfect for that too. So this is what you getArchery Target- this is 19.6x 19.6x 3.9 The high-density foam works great. It’s thick so your knife or arrow won’t go throw it but soft enough not to damage either of them.Self Adhesive Target- you get 5 of these and they pretty much feel like big thick stickers. You can peel the backing off and stick them to the foam or you can use the pins to pin them to the foam. The design on the target is pretty cool looking too.Archery Arm Guard- good quality, it will protect your arm when using a bow and arrow. There’s 3 elastic straps and fasteners. The fasteners can be attached or unattended with one hand easily.1 box of push pins- self explanatory, there push pinsOverall a great quality set with everything you need. The foam block should last a long time too.I would recommend this
