I have a boat and now I can transfer gas from 5 gal cans into the boat or my vehicle easily. The siphon action works like magic, not a lot of shaking or waiting just a few quick back and forths and the siphon flows. Gas can has to be higher than the fill tank of course and did I mention speed. The gas flow almost as fast as pouring directly from the gas can with nozzle.Instead of driving my boat to Costco for fueling I just take 3 or 4 (5) gal cans and transfer the gas, unless I'm filling my tank for a longer trip. I usually burn around 10 gallons or so of fuel at a time. Also, would be good for taking extra fuel cans aboard and transferring when needed would be a breeze. Not sure about durability yet.

A bit hard for me to get it going but I think it’s because my fountain is shallow so I used water from the hose to spray into the metal top to get it going .. It drains it out so much faster than our little pump . Well made and time efficient . I’d recommend it any day. Well made should last for years .

You need to get the "sending" container slightly higher than the "receiving container. Can be a challenge. Bobbing the siphon end up and down worked to pull liquid up into the tubing. If you have the ability to situate your containers correctly, it should work!

I carry a portable generator with me when camping, and got tired of wrestling with the consistently leaky 5 gallon red gas jugs when filling my generator or my truck. I wanted something easier and cleaner, and after trying a bulb siphon (ugh!!) I gave this unit a try.In a word, fantastic. The flow rate is very high, and it's incredibly easy to use once you figure out there needs to be a decent height difference between the bottom of the gas can and the top of the fill vessel. My first attempt had the can bottom only a couple inches above the fill port of my generator and I could not get it to reliably siphon. Putting the generator on the ground and the gas can on the tailgate completely solved the problem. Couldn't be happier with it, highly recommended.

Worked really well at getting most of the gas out of the 5 gallon gas can into my vehicle. However it will not remove the entire can contents.
