Vollrath10 qt. Optio™ Sauce Pot w/ Cover

its budget low use commercial cookware that's way more durable than most consumer level stuff. It's brushed stainless, so you don't have to worry about keeping it shiny, the disk on the bottom lets it heat up quick and even. Its not pretty or fancy, but it works.If you've never cooked with stainless, theres no problem with sticking as this isn't a sauté pan. Get yourself some Barkeepers friend and you're golden.

I have other Vollrath Optio pots and love them, so was happy to find this saucepan. It's beautiful, functional, just the right size & weight for small batches. I especially like that there are no rivets on the inside, making it easier to wash.

Not many pans have the handle attatched with spotwelds, most are rivets. Because of that this pan gets to have a flush interior, no more rivet heads getting in the way. The handle does indeed stay cool, it's induction ready but I've only used it on an coil burner & it reaches temp fast.

Vollrath Optio is my preferred brand for nicer pots and pans, and I own many. However, this item arrived poorly packaged even by Amazon standards and damaged as a result, so I would recommend ordering from elsewhere.Unfortunately I need to get it into service sooner than I can deal with handling a return and replacement, so I'm kindof stuck with it. Thankfully the gouges and dent are not in locations where it would contact food (which would be a food safety issue)

Really like the pan. It doesn't heat up as fast as the old pan did but the old pan doesn't have a handle anymore! I would think that the handle would get hot on this pan but it doesn't at all. The pan is well built and solid. The lid doesn't fit tight but it is adequate for what I use it for.

pot was great but was missing the cover when I reached out I was told they were out of stock but I could order a cover and I would not be charged for the cover. in my e-mail was a short cut right to the cover it was a flat cover not a domed cover like it was supposed to come with.im not sure if I got a better cover or worse. ether way the vollrath pots are awesome .

This is just the right size to heat up soup, make rice, or cook potatoes. It is not as lovely as an All-Clad pan, but you don't need a $175 pan to make mashed potatoes. Great value, bang for the buck. Use Barkeeper's Friend to keep it shiny. Lid fits very well. Thick base.

Seems like a cheap version of my existing Vollranth pan. Markings on bottom different, disc on bottom looks different. Lid has no marking and doesn't look like the one I have. I'll keep it but I will go back to restaurant supply for additional Vollrath products.
