Been a problem since purchased it. Have to turn the bulb in the fixture to keep it lit.
I purchased this bulb in 2020 for my OTT light. It has been finicky since I got it in 2020. It does not fit tightly in the socket and every time I turn it on I have to twist and fiddle with the bulb to make it come on. It might flicker off at any moment. I just stopped using the fixture after awhile out of frustration. I came back to Amazon today to try to find a new bulb and see it is virtually impossible to find a replacement bulb still. Rather than purchase a new one from this company I will toss the lamp.

Finally found a replacement bulb!
This replacement bulb fit my old, sturdy OTT Light perfectly. Although it cost almost as much as a new OTT Light, it is an older light and much better made than the plastic ones available today. It was worth the money.

Problem solved
I purchased an Ott desk lamp now several years ago at Costco on a whim. It was being clearanced out, and I had always been curious about the quality of the Ott lamps which I had seen advertised at crafting stores. Last month I noticed that the light would flicker out of control when I turned it on. I don't use the lamp all that much anymore since buying a laptop almost four years ago. But when I go in my office and try to do anything, I usually have to turn on this desk lamp because the lighting in my ceiling fan doesn't give off enough light.I found this replacement bulb on Amazon, I never even considered trying anywhere else because the replacement bulb was a reasonable price, and I know that the crafting stores charge a fortune for these lamps and replacement bulbs. It was very easy to remove the original lamp and replace. I turned the lamp on, and held my breath for a second, and voila, the light was on, and not flickering. Perfect!
