This is a VERY good quality grater. I left it on the counter after I used it and was stressing that I forgot to clean it. It was very easy to clean even after leaving it full of dried cheese. This works best when the cheese is very cold. Great product, every kitchen needs one. *update to my review* ...Out of sheer laziness, I used it to grate ginger and garlic for a recipe that requires a lot of prep. The ginger was easy to grate and came out perfect! The pieces of garlic were a bit larger than a traditional garlic press and it really brought out the garlic flavor better. It was easy to clean the ginger and garlic and there was no lingering smell. Again, every kitchen needs this grater!

Bought for Christmas gifts for several family members. Very good quality, easy to take apart and clean.

Cheap, badly fit, low gauge sheet stainless construction, from an unbranded manufacturer in china. Not even "Kuchenprofi", the german manufacturer. The drum's perforations are only in one size, and it's not the one in the photos either. They are hilariously small. Good for grinding parmesan.The build quality isn't even close to the advertised product. The neck of the plunger is just bent sheet steel around 0.7 mm in thickness. The tail of the plunger that forms a joint is the same, pathetically weak steel, not the thick, forged rods in the photos. The hopper is 0.85 mm gauge steel. As is the crank. There are no spot welds, except those holding the (0.6 mm thick) locking tab to the hopper, only folded/bent "tabs".This tool will no doubt die trying to survive the challenge of grating cheese. It can easily be destroyed in my hands. It is a cheap, uncraftsmanlike product, clearly made only to resemble a grater.Came with a dodgy potato peeler as well, for some reason.Definitely got sent the wrong product. The question is whether it was on accident or not.
