True solid wood top. Would be great in the shop or office.I ordered to finish a DIY standing desk kit. I was looking for a 'real-wood' top and not just a laminated MDF or pylwood. Great product at a really good price point.Top comes unfinished and well packaged. Even still, it is heavy so handling during shipping is going to be hit-or-miss. I was luckly in that just a small chip occurred at one corner. That made it easy to set a front-back orientation. Top is smooth finished (150-220 grit) with the bottom noticeably less so. The top was obviously clear of blemishing knots in the wood and all the joints/splinning was well done.As this was tasked for becoming a desktop, I did route a roundover around the edge and at the corners. I touched up the sanding with 220 grit for consistency. I used a tung oil finish without any stain. Hoping the natural wood tones age nicely over the years.I am now looking at replacing my home-office desk with a similar setup sine remote working is likely to be a new norm.

I needed a heavy, hard, and smooth top board for my work table. As a support structure, I used Kreg KRS 1035 router table stand. They make an excellent combination. I cut the board about 20 inches shorter, that made the table top 40 inches long, and the cut piece was used as a shelf on the lower level of the steel structure. Overall the table came out very sturdy, just what I needed. It looks good too. My only complaint is that the packaging of this workbench top does not fully protect the flat surface from nicks during shipping. Mine had a slight indentation, but it was not a problem because it was where the cut was made. Adding an extra layer of padding at the factory would solve the issue.

I was replacing a section of countertop and wanted a butcher block style replacement. It needed to be 26 to 27 inches wide and 55 inches long. I came across this item that was sized almost perfect for what I needed. The top was in excellent condition, definitely of a grade that could pass for countertop. I used a carbide blade to cut about 5 inches off the legth and ended up cutting that piece down as a backsplash for the wood. Did a light sand and heavy clear varnish. It looks great!

Lovely work bench but the packaging around the corners are subpar. They provide almost zero cushion padding around the corners so if you order this bench, you WILL have 1 or two damaged corners.Great price and workmanship.....it just sucks to have damaged corners. The packaging need an upgrade.

The quality of the product was good enough to use as a butcher block countertop. I couldn’t have made it for what it cost. It would make a great table top.

This worktop is perfect for my application. There was nothing damaged during shipping. The package protected the corners well. Unfinished is a huge plus! Would buy again!

Item arrived damaged on the ends as pictured, not to mention the knots and divots on the "cabinet" grade top block. Bought this for a kitchen island and now best case scenario itll be an overpriced work bench top. I've tried 4 coats of stain and 7 coats of polycrylic attempting to get it passable (not gonna happen). Shipping was quick and price is cheap but all in all it's an expensive work bench top save yourself $80 and just buy some 2x10s or pony up the $ for a legit top.If I buy a product I want that product and I want it the way its described not a defective one and a refund.
