I have an older and shorter cable lens from the same vendor. The older lens has a multi-option connection -USB 2 or USB 3 - but doesn't mount easily to the monitor due to a cavity design to protect the cable mount from breaking when used in the field. The old lens can still be mounted using a USB 2 to USB 3 adapter trimmed down to fit into the cavity. However, this should only be used for stationary use, such as at a desk or using the lens as a microscope, as adapted and mount are no longer protected from damage while performing inspections within close spaces.

I used it to look at leak coming in basement. Assumption was pipe leak however, this tool helped infinding leak in the floor (as source water drip was on wood). For smaller areas side camera works great where top view gets blocked. Also, the camera wire is sturdy, I was able to push it up (vertical) and it did not bend. It did go through R13 foam and still did not bend.Product comes with memory card, I used it soon after delivery.

Camera works fantastic. The only reason I docked 1 star is because it can be a bit difficult to run the camera in tight spaces for long distances, such as through pipes, or down walls. Someone else on here mentioned, putting a ping-pong ball on the end, with a hole drilled in the middle for the camera to go through. I think this would be a great idea for running it through pipes. The directions do you say that you can tie the camera to the end of a drain snake and use that to push it through the pipe. I just did not have that handy. Without assistance, the cable for the camera is just not quite the correct rigidness to be pushed through tight long areas.

This camera is great, the resolution is really good. It has a feature to take pictures within the unit. The cord is surprisingly rigid. The side camera works just as good as the front camera. I am very impressed. Pretty great camera for $89. First thing I did was inspect down one of my walls finding an electrical wire. Then I took it out to my camper trying to find a water leak below the floor, found it on the fresh water tank drain. Also found a wiring issue in the camper in the process, one I have been hunting since we bought the camper. This camera has already paid for itself just with the camper fixes!
