Viable spore mycelium, but small quantity
The syringe was full of liquid, but only had a very small amount of visible mycelial growth. I managed to get it to the needle end of the syringe and inoculated my grain. It began to grow in less than 24 hours, which is great! However, I don’t think the rest of the syringe has anything other than the liquid medium in it. I’ll throw some on an agar dish and see what happens.I’m guessing this was an exception, not the rule, for this company. I say this because I also ordered Lion’s Mane and Chestnut and they were both packed full of mycelial growth!

The Best
I have made several order from this store, and have been impressed with the product. Even when there was a problem they were on top of it right away, and fixed things more than what was necessary. When it comes to liquid cultures this is my go to store. Look no further.

No directions
I am not a mushroom expert so it would have been nice if instructions were included in the package. For example, where to plant, when to plant, and care after planting. I was hoping to seed my property with these mushrooms. I was not growing in a controlled environment so instructions would have been great. I checked the website. They have a rap video about the company but no documentation. The company doesn't get it.

Contaminated!
The Nameko (Pholiota nameko) culture I received was contaminated. This is the second culture that I receive that was contaminated. The first contaminated one was True Morel, not sure if I will be reordering anymore in the future if every 1 out of 3 is contaminated!

Surprised that it worked
What they don't tell you is that morels are mycorrhizal. They need to inoculate the roots of a living plant.I'm more a soil enthusiast than a mycology expert. Wasn't sure which plants the morel would form relationship with, so over the last year I've bought three of these and distributed them in different parts of my garden. Sprayed directly onto my apple tree roots, injected near other perennials, and into active vegetable beds.Something worked, because this is the first fruit! Side of the new garden bed. I'm going to let it sporulate and acclimate to my local environment better, but I'm very happy with this.
