Younger by the Day: 365 Ways to Rejuvenate Your Body and Revitalize Your Spirit

An uplifting book on aging beautifully.
I enjoyed this book because of it's positive take on aging. It was easy to read starting with the day I received it. It reminded of the things I have forgotten to do for myself and gave me the incentive to start doing them again. I felt I could take what I could use and revisit the rest at a later date if needed.I enjoyed the book enough to give it as a gift to a friend for her birthday.

Younger By the Day -- No Surgery Required!
Upon first glance at the title, you may assume that this is another run-of-the-mill "get younger" book filled with info about pricey creams, spa treatments and a diet plan. Not so! This book is refreshing in it's approach to getting younger. Ms. Moran suggests that real and lasting changes be made from within. This doesn't mean that you can't or shouldn't use expensive creams, get spa treatments and eat well. You just have to make sure that you are focusing on improving both the inner and outer parts of you. For instance: Learning to not make mountains out of molehills paired with giving yourself a therapeutic warm sesame oil massage will do wonders for how you feel both inside and outside. This hand-in-hand approach echoes throughout this lovely book.Read this book; put the ideas to use. Let Ms. Moran be your guide to learning how to feel younger, both mentally and physically. I've had the honor of meeting her in person and I can tell that she practices what she's written in this book. She's joyful and vibrant and looks younger than her years. Works for me!! =) I'm buying this book for all my female friends so we can all get younger together!

A must-have for women over 50
As a longtime fan of Victoria Moran's essays and other books, I came a little late to this one. Or, I should say, it found me at exactly the time I needed it -- in my late 50s. I had purchased the book a while ago, then left it in a desk drawer unread. Luckily, I rediscovered it this year and have been enjoying these helpful, intelligent essays every day.At this point in my life, this beautiful daybook book hits home. In fact, it resonates even more than the popular "Simple Abundance" did (more than 10 years go). "Younger by the Day" addresses all the issues that impact women at midlife -- and inspires us to rely on our inner resources rather than the fickle advice from women's magazines (and other cultural influences). Moran's essays cover all the bases, from beauty to nutrition to emotional well-being.With so few magazines targeted to women over 50, women NEED books like this one. Though "Younger by the Day" was published in 2005, the essays remain current and classic. I hope the publisher considers reissuing the book with an updated cover -- or at least keeps it in print for a while.

Younger by the day
The one thing that bothered me, I was giving the books as gifts and they had a black marker mark on the bottom.

Everyday inspiration
The book is in a format I truly love (diary style, a la Simple Abundance) and rich in thought provoking tidbits that made me reconsider the simplest acts in my day as opportunities to tap into the sublime - or at the very least, made me reconsider how I approach even the mundane, everyday tasks. I would recommend it wholeheartedly - it may not knock your sox off (pardon the pun, World Series time), but it's inspiring and mentoring without being pretencious. Love that!

Not really helpful to my life
The audience this book is written for is someone who does not work a 40 hour work week. She talks about getting up 3 hours before she starts working to do all kinds of exercises and grooming/beauty activities. I start work at 6:30 am and it takes me 15 minutes to drive to work. The suggestions in this book have no relevance to my life.

So inspiring!
I just finished my third reading of Younger By the Day and once again loved it! Victoria lives just like she invites the readers to and is so inspirational. Even if you just pick it up every so often, you will experience the benefits.

Good to dip into
A very pleasant reader to dip into. It is strange how each day seems so apposite. full of common sense stuff that we need to be remeinded of now and again.

Nichts Neues
