OKUMADown Rigger Trolling

Just what I was looking for.

Great rod at a great price.

I have 6 other okuma rods that l love, this one not so much. It bends oddly at the junction section under load on a downrigger and the line guides are very thin to the point that I wonder if they will cut into the line. Hope it performs better than I feel it will long-term!

GOOD and Bad. I bought 2 of these.Good: inexpensive downrigger rod for Ocean Salmon. Lots of guides, and tight spacing.Bad: The rod blank top, and bottom do not have the spines lined up, and the spines are not in the right direction (facing the guides). The spine of the blank is where it is stiffest in one direction. You want it facing up on a casting rod, and facing down on a spinning rod and the top and bottom mated same direction.

This is a great rod and value. Hi quality and components. Okuma never fails!
