NRSV Updated Edition Economy Bible (Softcover)

I have many printed versions of the Bible. This is one I had not purchased before, but my church utilizes this version because it is accurate and easy for newcomers to the faith to understand the scriptures. I am sometimes privileged to read the scriptures aloud to the congregation during worship, and it helps to have the same version to use when I practice the readings.The fact that it is compact and paperback, makes it easy to carry.

This translation is a must have. Far more accurate than most bibles. My only complaint is that they translate the Hebrew word for man as mortal. Besides that it’s an excellent translation.

The type is small, but quite clear, and the paper is pretty show-through resistant. It doesn’t feel like a cheap give-away book; it would be a great everyday carry, and good for classes. My 20-something daughter has claimed it because it isn’t bulky or heavy.
