Liked them so much I reviewed it on YouTube.
I use the REAN silent plug as an alternative to the Neutrik Silent Plug that's more expensive. My Guitar tech has been using the REAN plug for years now, and still operates flawlessly after 100's of matings per day over the years he has used it. I wanted him to beat on them and let me know how long they lasted in his shop, they're still going!I even made a video comparing Neurtik to Rean on YouTube.

An "okay" silent guitar plug
I'd give them 3.8 stars if I could.I use these Neutrik REAN silent plugs when I make custom guitar cables for customers that want a cheap silencing straight guitar cord. There's two things IMHO that keep this REAN silent plug from being a high quality plug; the strain relief is made from flimsy metal and the shorting switch has a gap that can allow dirt to get in and make the switch fail. Furthermore, the specs say they're only rated for 1000 mating cycles as opposed to the standard Neutric silent plug which is good for 10,000 mating cycles. Even still, it's a good, inexpensive plug that can be removed and upgraded anytime.
