It is called a 9 foot cord because 9 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it's the standard. From a practical standpoint this cord will stretch 4 to 5 feet without moving the phone. Other sellers use the term "fully stretched" or "uncoiled." Stretching a curly cord to its limit is enough to ruin any cord.
- This cord works on nearly any phone made in the last 30+ years. It uses the standard 4P4C (4 pin 4 conductor) connector which is also called RJ9, RJ10 & RJ22. One end has no curl for approximately 6 inches, making it easier to place in the channels on the back of the phone.
