MiFi2200 Battery MiFi 2200

I ordered the replacement battery from Amazon but it was supplied/shipped from what appeared to be a battery replacement store. It took a little longer to arrive than I expected. Though it arrived in what appeared to be good shape and well packaged, when I put the battery into my wi-fi device it would never charge correctly. The mi-fi wi-fi device has a color- coded light system to indicate whether or not battery is nearly dead, charging or full. My device generally shows that the new battery is at the critical stage regardless of whether or not it is attached to the charging system. I sent two emails to the company in what now appears to be futile attempts to make contact with intellegent life. I have yet to receive a single acknowledgment that there is a complaint. Mobilex Electronics Inc. doing business on Amazon as MobileX stated on their packing list that they would like to hear from their customer's before bad feedback is posted to Amazon but apparently that was simply window dressing. It has been since 16 September 2011 that I made my first product dissatisfaction email and at this point feel free to post this complaint. MobileX doesn't appear to stand behind their products. The battery doesn't work and neither does their customer service. OK! I recently purchased a MIFI 2200 Hotspot to use in my RV. When I purchased it used, the battery would only last about an hour and then would die. I invested in three of these batteries and now while I am in the RV camping in an open field or anywhere else I am set to have fun with the Solar System on the RV to run the TV or computer and these little batteries to run the MIFI 2200. Each battery gives me about four hours of Netflix or hotspot use for whatever your heart desires. Now I have 12 hours of rechargeable battery life at any given time and can always recharge if needed. My rainy days in the RV are covered from now on. The photos above show running Netflix through the MIFI 2200 with these batteries on my Laptop and the TV. Great investment!!

Used original battery for 3.5 years (and am still using it). However, I wanted the additional battery power to allow me 5-7 hours of 3G access without USB port or access to AC power for the charger.Put this battery into Sprint MiFi Novatel 2200 card and charged it for several hours. Delighted that it gives me easily 4-5 hours of use on a charge. With the old battery which still has 2-3 hrs of life on a charge, I can now go almost a workday on two batteries if necessary.Remember for best performance and long life of your battery (even with Li-ion), charge it fully before use, and discharge it almost fully before recharging. (I always use until the card turns off. At the very least, this reduces your recharge cycles which is the real killer of batteries.) Yes, I know the new batteries don't have a memory according to the manufacturers -- but try treating them as you did ni-cad batteries and you will be happier and waste less $$ on batteries!BTW - As far as I can tell, the battery I received is the original OEM battery. I personally think it is important to have form and function of replacement batteries the same as original in order to match the charging circuitry in the device.

Was in a real 'pickle' [to use the 'proverbial' common term] for DILIMMA. HAD BEEN A VERIZON NOVETELL WIRELESS [INTERNET] CUSTOMER FOR OVER 8 YEARS. When they initially came out with the WiFi/MIFI [credit card size] device replacing the LAPTOP USB 'plugin stick', Verizon offered 'TRUE UNLIMITED DATA STREAMING' for ~$59/month. Since, each occasion upon 'renewal/change' of our 'contract'-Verizon has attempted to rob us of our 'unlimited' service-however, we have maintained via 'GRANDFATHERNG' the 'UNLIMITED SERVICE. When the MIFI2200 'CARD' PURCHASED SOME 8 YEARS AGO, FINALLY REFUSED TO WORK ANY LONGER-I WAS FACED WITH SOME 'DAUNTING' PROSPECTS. HISTPORICALLY, STREAMING SOME 80GB/MO, CURRENT CONTRACTUAL GUIDELINES WOULD POTENTIALLY COST ~$260/mo. Conversely, I was forced to find a '3G' *ONLY MIFI2200 DEVICE, WHICH NOBODY SEEMED TO HAVE. Verizon Tech Support was unable to provide other than the 3G/4G device, and I searched Amazon.com-amazingly finding the device offered through CDWAREHOUSE at ~$60. Upon arrival, the card is in EXCELLENT CONDITION [LIKE NEW], COMPLETE WITH USER GUIDES, CABLING, CAR & House Charger-&-in Manufacturer Packaging. I am EXTROIDINARILY PLEASED, AND HOPE THAT OTHERS IN LIKE CIRCUMSTANCES SEE THIS AND ARE ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE IF NEEDED.

I just changed out my old battery for this new one and so far it's holding up. I've read some of the other customer comments about not lasting too long, so I can't comment on that being a problem. I know by now my other battery would have shut down, but so far no problem. I use this in my old Verizon MIFI2200 2672, and since Verizon not longer carries this battery, I had to go to an outside source. The only problem I experience that had no relation to the product was that it took forever to get here from the source. That being said, I'm happy so far with my purchase!!

It is just that it did not fix the problem I am having with the MIFI device. I thought I had to keep rebooting it because I may have a battery that needed replaced. But, evidently that wasn't the problem. I probably need to get a new MIFI device...I'm not sure, but I AM sure that is what Verizon is going to tell me so I will buy a new device!!!THX, Debi Lampp

I ordered this to go with my  Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200 Prepaid Mobile Hotspot (Virgin Mobile)  but contrary to the claim it does not last 4hrs. It barely lasts 2hrs on full charge. Nevertheless, it is good to have extra battery. If you need lasting solution just buy the  Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter micro-USB Rapid Rate Charger  and your MiFi 2200 will never run out of juice again.
