Max Factory Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor: Guyver 1 Figma Action Figure

Excellent quality; very well done.BEWARE: this is not the same as the previous Figma figure, released some time ago...this is a newer version, somehow improved, but it lacks the value of the previous figure (out of print since years ago). Don't get confused with the previous Guyver figure.If you love Japanese animation, and collectibles, this item is for you.Beware, it is not a toy! You can give this to a child, but it is really easy to break it, if not handled correctly. The joints are solid; the various parts are well assembled, although the chest with the mega smasher is quite flimsy; I would not force it or move it too often.It has various hands; to replicate different poses; the problem is the peg that host the hand: it is very small and I had some issues changing hands, since you need to be firm but not too hard or the peg will break. I would suggest to settle with a set of hands and keep them on all the time.The extended blades are also very easy to break, since the peg on the blade is even smaller than the one that is used for the hands.The nice thing is that you can swap the chest with one without the mega smasher, which eliminate the fear of breaking the chest plates (and allow you to actually cross the arms on the chest, in the classic heroic pose; which is not possible with the other chest part).Keep in mind that the image is NOT showing the real color of the mega smasher: the photos show the prototype version, which has a yellow color for the lens, while the final item has a blue/grey-ish color for the lens of the mega smasher.It is just fine, the only one that has orange lenses is the prototype used for marketing of the item.It also has a base, which is a nice touch for aerial poses. I was not able to keep the figure up without the base, the feet are not totally flat; I assume that this is expected.IT include also a "Unit G"; which is the form of the guyver when not bound to a host; a nice touch, although a bit useless since there is no way to remove the bio armor from the figure. I hope the next release will include removable armor, or a Sho Fukamachi figure.Overall a great figure; good articulation, nice amount of extras and awesome painting and sculpting. The only downside is the neck; since the design require to have the head bound to the chest, trough a sort of "clavicle bones" on the neck. They are soft, but the head won't turn more than few degree in each direction; which means no poses looking up, down or sideways that are too extreme.Highly suggested

Ever since I was younger I have always wanted a guyver figure and I am happy to say that I have it and am very impressed. Just want to remind any potential buyers, this is not really a toy but rather a posable action figure. It is pretty fragile and can break if not careful. If one intends to play with it, do so carefully and gently.The articulation is quite good and you may have to move around some of the arms and legs in order to make them a little looser. The paint job and detail is spot on. I wish the figure was a bit bigger like the max factory version but this size is still quite ideal, You can almost all of the moves from the show and even new ones. This is well worth the buy and I hope they release more figma figures such as guyver 2, guyver 3, the zoalords and the guyver gigantic. Fingers crossed.

Excellent figure!! It comes with great detail and a great paint job. It's what I've come to expect from Figma to see their figures and just admire all the work they put into them. It's not as big as I would like but it's still awesome! It comes with its own stand so u can pose him anyway you like. I highly recommend this to any guyver fans out there.

Though incredibly detailed, I expected it to be bigger than it was for how much it cost

I have been looking for this figma Guyver for a while. I really didn't want to pay the amount you are seeing from Japan. Since this item is discontinued, the prices will indefinitely rise. The item I received was damaged. I have to return it. But I was able to inspect the other parts of the figure and I have to say that this is very well built. It comes with 3 or 4 sets of hands and the attached lowered elbow blades and detached raised(longer, for combat) elbow blades. It also comes with a hostless g-unit. The paint and articulation of his body and parts are amazing. For being on the smaller end of the scale, it's very well built. I was particularly impressed with the different angles you can shape him in. I was extremely disappointed when the one I ordered was damaged. One thing that should be noted is that the hands and blades use small peg connectors so I would probably not change parts out too often as it may wear out the female end and loosen the connection. If you are a fan of Guyver, this first unit is a must have.

This collectible figurine is none other than amazing! The detail on the Guyver model is top notch down to the last detail. I've always wanted this ever since I was teen and now I finally have it! For about 60$, you can't go wrong as the price on it was a steal! (That is if you're the kind of guy like me that spends money on these things. I've paid around $100 for other collectibles.) A word of caution though, as cool as the figurine is, it is NOT A TOY. The package includes 4 different sets of detachable hands as well as the elongated blade extensions. If it is taken on and off one too many times, IT WILL BREAK. However, if you're like me and like to pose it up, this model is truly a sight to behold. Highly recommended!

He is awesome, however he is quite small. Not in scale with other figma. His head is too small for the body. And boy those Utub reviewer sure has tiny hands, cus this Guyver is a lot smaller then the 1st run.

Same as above!I wish this one, including Guyver 2 and Guyver 3 as well as the Violet Female Guyver 2 were taller, for better drawing-reference' sake!

I’ve been dying to get this figure for sooo long as I’m a huge guyver fan. I’ll admit it is tiny, it didn’t look that small in YouTube vids I watched but that doesn’t matter cos it’s captured him perfectly. Accessories are spot on and I prefer the mega smasher pearl like colour rather then the green on the box. Huge kudos to the seller too as I received around 2 and half weeks early

Very nice but paint was not applied well to the stomach, anyone know what kind of paint is used and what colour blue this is? as i need to touch it up a bit

figmaで培われたアイデアや技術の集大成、と言うと少し大げさですが、とにかくこのガイバー1が良い出来なのは間違いありません。本体には軟質パーツが多用され、見た目のキレイさを保ちつつ、広い可動範囲を確保するのに成功しています。私はBFC-MAXも所持していますが、造形はそれぞれ好みがあるとして、可動に関しては格段に進化していると言えるでしょう。特筆すべきは股関節で、膝が胸に付くくらいまで脚を高く上げられ、横方向にも180°近く開脚できます。(体育座りのポーズはさすがに無理でした。)また、肘関節はボールジョイントで接続されており、肘から下を回転させられるため、高周波ソードを好きな方に向ける事ができてポージングの幅が広がります。全体的に可動範囲が広く、なおかつ動かしやすいためガシガシいじって遊んでいるだけで凄く楽しいです。キャラクタートイとしてだけでなく、アクションフィギュアとしても非常に満足度の高い商品であり、購入して良かったと思っております。ただ、顔の造形が見本から多少変わっていたり、展開した状態の胸部の色が黄緑から銀色に変更になっていたり胸部装甲がズレやすかったり、本体の汚し塗装の個体差がかなり激しかったりと、ここのレビューで指摘されている問題点は確かにありますので他の方のレビューもご参照の上、本商品がご自分の許容範囲内の物であるかどうかご判断頂ければと思います。このレビューが少しでも参考になれば幸いです。
