Level Lock Smart Lock - World's Smallest Smart Lock - Level App for iOS & Android - Works with Apple Home (Matte Black)

I was a little bit apprehensive about buying this lock because of the reviews. At this time it has a 3.7 which I think after purchasing the product is undeserved. I am an apple HomeKit user so if it does have problems with Alexa, it is a relevant to me. However, one review stated that the black wasn't "black" but brownish and a little bit glossy - Not totally satin... in my case, mine came perfectly painted, and it appears to be a very good finish. No complaints on quality there. Another review stated that it was slow to lock or unlock. For a moment I had the same problem, but I realized it was because I skipped trying to download the Level home app. Even though you can straight up, scan the code to make it work with HomeKit you need to download the Level home app and make sure it has the latest firmware installed and is properly calibrated. I too want to skip the extra software and I really like when I don't have to get my info to yet another company. But you need the app so that way it is always running the latest software to officially work with newer versions of HomeKit, etc. once I did that the lock responded as quickly as my other Yale smart lock I have on my front door with keypad. All my other exterior doors have this lock installed and I love it. One observation is that my plate on the doorwaylwas smaller than what came with the level lock so I had to chisel out a larger indention to have that plate be flush with the door sill like the original was from before.

The media could not be loaded.  I taught myself to pick simple locks in college. I hadn’t tried picking a lock in many years. I picked this lock in 10-15 seconds on my first attempt. Wow. I tried picking my old Weiser smart key deadbolt that I replaced and it was difficult and after 20 minutes I gave up. This lock is meant to let people in, not lock them out… I would not recommend this for your house. Maybe a shed.

This is a terrible lock. First of all the package they sent was missing installation hardware that I had to improvise on, no big deal and I could have lived with that. The motor is so under powered that it could barely slide the bolt even after putting a new battery in it still was weak. The app worked the lock but said mechanical problem each time. The actual bolt is hollow and made of weak metal that I feel like I could bend in my hand. So for something that is supposed to provide protection from intruders and protect your family it is horrible. The knob on the inside of the door detaches and wobbles and feels like it would spin completely if it were used for an extended period of time.This is an honest review of a terrible product I truly hope that anyone looking for this type of lock reads this and shops elsewhere as this is purely an inferior product in every way.

Was easy to install…. One huge problem… you have to be right beside the door to unlock it manually from the app as the Auto Unlock does not work consistently. Completely defeats the purpose of hands free…. So very disappointed

This forces me to leave the door open until I can retrieve my phone to unlock it manually. It would be incredibly helpful if Level Lock could incorporate a sensor to detect if the door is still ajar before locking automatically.Another area of improvement lies in the unlocking process using the mobile app. Currently, you need to keep the "unlock door" button pressed for a period of time before it unlocks the door. It would be much more user-friendly and efficient if a single press of the button could initiate the unlocking process, eliminating the need to keep the button held down.Despite these minor inconveniences, the Level Lock Smart Lock has proven to be a reliable and secure addition to my home. It's sleek, unobtrusive, and blends seamlessly with my existing door hardware. The app interface is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing for easy management of access codes and monitoring of the lock's status.In conclusion, the Level Lock Smart Lock shows great promise and has the potential to become an even more outstanding smart home device with a few enhancements. If Level Lock can address these issues in future updates, it would undoubtedly make for an even more convenient and user-friendly smart lock solution.
