Works well
Replaced a uverse data cable with this because I needed one at least 20 feet long. This is much longer but it did the job. I used zip ties to secure the excess line. Looks very clean. Fast shipping.

Quality Cable for DSL
Honestly, I did not get a chance to use this. I had other problems with CenturyLink and canceled my service prior to receiving this cable. It appears to be very well made. It looks like at CAT-5 cable with molded RJ-11 connectors. You can't get much better than that. Well, sure, you could use CAT-7 with shielded connectors. But your jacks would not be shielded, and it's way overkill. Even CAT-5 is overkill for this application. I have no doubt it would work very well to carry a DSL signal with minimal interference. If I ever go back to DSL, THIS would be my cable of choice. Keep in mind, your home is likely wired with CAT-3 or 4. If it's an older home with straight 2 pair (Red/Green/Black/Yellow), you may want to run a new line for your DSL connection.UPDATE - I switched back to CenturyLink, so I am using this cable. If this is CAT5, it is very thin. The cable works fine, looks nice, and is a better length than the provided cable. Unfortunately my home is CAT3 wiring and I'm on the furthest jack in the chain. With this configuration, I will not see any increase in performance, or reduction in noise. Installing a CAT5 jack in my office would require running a new line around the house outside, or going through the garage, hallway, and around a door inside. I may do this in the future. If so, I'll update my review. I do have CAT5 from the jack to a surge protector and this cable connects from the surge protector in my UPS to the modem. The signal is stable, and the bonded DSL has both pairs working properly. I still recommend this cable, it certainly couldn't hurt.

Quite an Improvement!
Okay so it's not Cat5e -- but it does appear to be at least twisted pair, and is a superb improvement over standard flat rj11 cabling. The jacket is thin so you can see the outline of the twists thorough the sheath. This is great because as we know, twist pair wiring reduces cross talk and EMI. However, on the note of shielding -- it is not, I hope you gathered that when I typed above concerning seeing the TP through the jacket. So, I would not feel comfortable running this next to any power outlets not along side power cables. On the note of throughput/bandwidth, I would say that for ADSL2+ this is great quality cabling and you may get between 10 and 15Mbps. But, if you have VDSL go with Cat5e and wire it according to USOC pinouts and the for the correct tip and ring or connector type. I have seen a stable 2.15Mbps through a surge protector and a stable 2.8MBps through a high quality filter. Either way, I seen between a 0.2 - 0.5Mbps increase in bandwidth depending on ISP network saturation. If you are going to have DSL, especially lower bandwidth DSL you must have these cables. I would also recommend the SEDNA SE ADSL SPL 01 ADSL filter that I compared in this review: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0185F8L2K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 checkout my review. Continuing with the filter, I do not know if the 2.1Mbps reduction from 2.8Mbps is due to the Cyberpower surge protector, but I highly suspect so. Therefore, I would recommend that you use a high quality filter without the wall connector. Thanks for reading and give me a thumbs up if this review helped, if not...

It's well made
I got this to replace the thin green cable that came with my modem so I could place it closer to the center of the apartment, hoping to boost the signal for my daughter in her room and the signal for the camera in her window that watches over our cars and her when she leaves for work in the morning. It works - does exactly what I needed. I now have it all the way across the room by the door (wanted to put it on a shelf but, eh, flimsy walls) and just that extra footage boosted her reception all the way up to full bars. Her phone, laptop, tv, all are much better. The only thing I did different was to upgrade the cord so that's where I'm giving the credit. If you have an ATT modem/router and want a better signal strength, trade in your old flimsy cord for one of these and you'll notice a definite improvement.
